Book Description

May 3, 2005
Sean O'Hara was one of many young men who went off to fight for either North or South. Circumstances place the young Confederate as a runner with General PT Beauregard at First Manasses from where he follows the general to the War in the West. We follow Sean through the campaigns at the side of General Patrick Cleburne, the South's most famous division commander but that is not all as at war's end, Sean finds himself in a Union uniform fighting Indians as a "galvanized Yankee." After the war, Sean continues his career with the Seventh and Tenth U.S. Cavalries while he raises a son to follow in his footsteps. Sean's adventures are a perfect way to learn about the less publicized war in the west and those who fought it.

More About the Author

I am 41 years old and I write and publish books that I have life experience in, so in turn I write about everything from computers to Aspergers to alternative religious view points and I also publish Erotic short stories. I don't write or publish the drug store romances, I write erotica based on life and it isn't always pretty or sweet! The stories are short because let's be honest, no one wants are needs a long, drug out erotic story. My books on Asperger's are based around my son Nicholas and my internet business books revolve around my business for the last 15 years I started selling eBooks when they were new and the debate was going on as to if they would ever be accepted, and now we have Kindle!

4.0 out of 5 stars For Civil War Buffs and Military Aficionados, October 2, 2005
This review is from: O'HARA'S WAR (Paperback)
This book, while short, follows the title character from the day he joins the Confederate army to his retirement at 80 years old. We see the war through a young man's eyes, mostly from a tactical and factual perspective.

If you are a Civil War fanatic, this book is for you. The battles covered here are not the major ones, and you learn about a major component- the War in the West- that is often overlooked.

Colonel Fitzgerald offers a background to each of the major players in this war, and also provides a synopsis of each person's career following the war.

While this may not be everyone's cup of tea, there is a definite audience for this short novel.
