Interesting characters, attention to detail, well researched with witty dialogue and an intricate plot with a satisfying ending. T. G. Brown offers up a very fine debut novel. I look forward to meeting Josh Ingram in future books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Praise for T.G. Brown's debut novel January 26, 2014

O'Henry was a great read. The multiple locations and sub plots were well woven together. The characters were well developed and the leading characters clearly identified. The twists at the end were a surprise. Looking forward to his next novel.

4.0 out of 5 stars A new crime thriller series October 21, 2014
By Leiah
Format:Kindle Edition
The psychotic mind sees the world through its own prism and bends that world to its choosing . . . tell me, was the head close to the body? – Oliver Wilson, Psychiatrist – O’Henry

That’s when he hit her, when he saw how scared she was. He couldn’t bear it that she was frightened and asking for help. Asking for help is wrong. Because there isn’t any such thing as help in this world. ― Ryū Murakami, Piercing

The call comes at the most inopportune time. Well, not really a call so much as the rooster tail of dust that precedes a country Sheriff bringing bad news. And for Josh Ingram, long past his life as an FBI’s Profiling Division, catfish noodling, pulling drafts at his marina bar, and writing his next best selling novel now has to go on hold, as he and FBI Agent Rachael Tanner struggle to find the serial killer known as O’Henry, who has come roaring back after a seven-year absence in a wave of blood and publicity. When Josh’s best friend, a mild mannered bookseller is killed by a retired mafia mechanic, Josh is drawn deep into a story of murder, madness and political intrigue that could cost him more than he ever expected.

This first entry in the Josh Ingram series by Terry Brown shows great potential for this new author. Tight characterizations, deep emotional world building and beautifully developed storylines woven together into a tale of murder, madness and political intrigue makes Terry Brown a new author to watch.

I received the book from Mr. Brown in return for a realistic review. All thoughts are my own.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very nice surprise July 4, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Josh Ingram is a character many will identify with. He's still reeling from a personal loss, has a confused future and just happens to be very good at an occupation he stepped away from and is now needed and called back into action. He's a man of many talents, writer, FBI profiler, and some dark history that makes him lethal and dangerous. His journey is detailed and well written by first time author T.G. Brown. I enjoyed the read and look forward to reading the next book. Josh may have too much on his plate and hopefully in the next book there will be more about him, his potential love life and less diversions from the case. All that said, this is a very good first book and my hats off to you. Well done.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good mystery with interesting characters February 21, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Although this book is not perfect, it is definitely exciting and had me guessing. I'm a little disappointed that the ending left some questions unanswered. I would love to know what happened to some of the more interesting characters. Hopefully, there is a future book to give me some closure.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read June 6, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Good story line, believable hero. as with most novels of this type, the hero goes a little overboard at times. fortunately, the writing is good enough to overcome it, and make you not only like the book, but want to read the rest of the series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down! April 26, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A good read, fast paced, lots of twists and turns. Figured out who the bad guy was pretty early on but but there is enough else going on to hold your interest to the finish.
