Product Description

This is the sensor that is used by OK Lighting and many others in their touch lamps. It will also work in most touch lamps that have the sensor in the base. It is rated up to 100 watts. Located in the base of the lamp the sensor controls the 3 power settings and turning the lamp on and off. A wiring diagram is on the back and wire nuts are included. The sensor measures 2 1/4 inches by 1 3/4 inches by 3/4 of an inch in depth. Touch lamps should not be used as nite lites and left on all the time. This does burn out the sensor prematurely. Lightning strikes, power surges, and brownouts can also a sensor to burn out.

Easy to replace as long as you use the old wiring and NOT the little picture on the back of the packaging, that are the supossed "instructions"

Not knowing when I purchased it, but this item was the exact same "3-way touch switch" that was originally installed in my touch lamp. Therefore, installation was very easy. One of my luckier days.

I am a retired Professional Electronic Technician so replacing a touch light sensor should have been very simple. NOT the case. I do NOT have a Lamp from OK lighting Company so in accordance with their written instructions, I used the color code (wire for wire) from my old sensor and the new OK Lighting sensor burned out immediately. I ordered a second sensor, ignored their instructions, and simply followed the wiring diagram on the back of the package. Now my Lamp works perfectly. Now the question will be: How long will this new sensor last?

Ordered this touch light sensor on a Tuesday and received it on a Friday via USPS. Thanks for the speedy delivery! The product performed as advertised. It made my favorite light useful again! Review the instructions and your particular lamp. You may need to install the yellow ground wire first before making any other connections instead of last as the instructions show.

This touch-dimmer works with any conductive surface. I was able to use this dimmer to make fake drawer knobs on my custom-built fish aquarium stand into 3-way touch dimmer switches. This dimmer works with many new LED bulbs and with old-fashioned incandescent bulbs. Overall this is a well-established technology that keeps on giving.

I was about to throw this lamp out but I do like the fact that you can wake and just put your hand in the
general direction of the lamp and touch it and it lights without looking for the switch. The control worked
as stated and took about 10 mins to install. Good product.

The sensors work perfectly. The profile of the packaging is a little too large for both of the lamps I installed these in, but the circuit board easily comes out of the encasement and has a very low profile. The wiring diagram has a little to be desired, but some thought in conjunction with the diagram will get you through the installation void of trouble. The installation time, from start to finish, was around 15 minutes. Without a doubt, when I convert my next lamp to a touch lamp, I'll be ordering these again.
