5.0 out of 5 stars And Before You Know It.... It's Another GREAT Pokémon CD, May 24, 2000
By
This review is from: OK! (Audio CD)
I took the title for this review from the lyrics of the second track on this CD, TYPE: WILD. This is the English translation of the same track on the Go For Pokémon Master CD. I REALLY like this track: it is definately one of my favourite Pokémon songs. Also on this CD is OK!, the new opening theme for the Japanese TV series, in both vocal and karaoke versions. I wasn't quite expecting it to be a rock song, but the fast pace of the track carries it well, with catchy and upbeat backing. GET THIS CD!

5.0 out of 5 stars 31.7 Megabytes of great Pokemon music!, August 12, 2001

This review is from: OK! (Audio CD)
Despite the small size of this CD, the music that it contains far surpasses the music shown in the US version of the show and soundtracks.

"OK!" was mainly the reason I bought the CD, since I have the Japanese Johto season opening on my computer, and I had always wanted to hear the full version. And I like it alot, especially the few english speaking parts, which provide some inspiration to my fanfic hobbies. And not only is it the first track, it is also the last track as a karaoke version. ... .

"Type: Wild" was a song that I thought I would never want to hear. Ever here the song in MIDI format? It's terrible! But the version on this mini-cd is awesome. This song is the English version, and it should have been the opening (or closing, I forgot) song to the Orange Islands season of Pokemon.

In addition to the two tracks, there is also two Quicktime videos that are included. One is the japanese version of Meowth's Party, and the other is the japanese trailer to "Lord of the Uknown Tower" (In it, some of the scenes they show were cut out in the American version i.e. Mewtwo scene).

Sadly, even if you have Quicktime already installed on your computer, the video won't play until you install the version that is one the CD.

Other than that, the CD is awesome, and would be an awesome addition to one's Japanese CD collection.

I think that OK! is one of the best Pocket Monster songs ever yet! It has a fast beat and it's rock n' roll! The other songs on the CD are quite good also!

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing CD, June 9, 2002
This review is from: OK! (Audio CD)
'OK!' is probably my favorite Pokemon song of all time. It is truly amazing, and so are the other goodies on this CD. I prefer the Japanese Pokemon music to the dubbed stuff (that is a little too poppy for my liking), despite the fact I only known a little Japanese. It is truly excellent music. I recommend it for all the fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nyaa! Nyaa! Nyaa! Nyasuu! =^o^=, May 22, 2000
This review is from: OK! (Audio CD)
This was a great CD, but my fave part was the Nyassu no Paati music video for fairly obvious reasons (points to her desktop, icons, pointer..) It's about Meowth singing that he's gonna have a huge party. Duh. Moving on...

The other songs are interesting. Type: Wild! Was interesting, and so was OK! The trailer for Lord of the Crystal Tower was chou too ^_^ I'm going to go watch Nyasuu again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent CD!, March 5, 2000

This is an excellent CD! It's a CD single that is only 3 inches. There are 3 tracks:

The first one is OK! which is the new opening song for the TV show. It's song by Matsumoto Rica who is Satoshi's (Ash's) voice actress. The song is a fast-paced rock song.

The second track is Type: Wild (English version). The Japanese version is on the Rival! single. It's the same song, but in english, and has a different singer.

The third track is the karaoke version of OK! The music, but without the main singer.

The CD also comes with a computer program where you can see the music video of Meowth's Party.

5.0 out of 5 stars Goooooolden sun, and siiiiiiiilver mooooooooooooon..., October 30, 2000
This review is from: OK! (Audio CD)
^_^ This is my absolutely, no doubt, most favourite Pokémon intro - English or Japanese!! I can't get over the mess they made of it when they made "Whole New World" for the English eps...couldn't they have left it? ;_; Anyway, so OK! is brill...great...spiffing in fact O_O. "Type:WILD is coolies...English too...and the rest of the songs are good, but OK has to be the best Pokémon song so buy it now. Why are you reading this? BUY BUY BUY! (O':'O) Buy for moi..?

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD, April 2, 2000

Even though there are only 2 vocal tracks and 1 instrumental track, this is one of the best Pokemon CD singles I've come across.

The CD includes a Meowth's Party music video, as the other reviews mentioned, but it also includes a trailer for the third Pokemon Movie, Lord of the "Unknown" Tower.

If the animation doesn't seem to be working right, it probably means you need to install quicktime, which you can do by clicking the third button on the menu that appears when you insert the CD.
