I do not normally write reviews on Amazon- but I have to tell you that these combo's are allot of fun at a fantastic price. I have the 7' rod version. Today on my boat I had my choice of using my Penn with a deep sea rod Combo - at 4x the price or one of these Okuma Combos - and I chose the Okuma. It is just what I wanted to fish with.
You get 4 reels and rods for what I paid for 1 Penn and a deep sea rod combo.... and I chose the Okuma. It's lighter, more action, and just more fun. That is just the truth.

Now I am not recommending this combo for big game fish - - - forget tuna and shark but if you want to have fun with a decent size fish or a jig with several - you will with this combo. The kids will love the too, easy to work and easy to feel the bite. I like the line depth gage but that is not the main feature. The reels just work well - they are light and it is easy to adjust the drag with a fish in tow. The reels seem to be maintenance free, but that is yet to be seen. The rods have a nice amount of spring and you can feel the action. If there were any directions I did not find them in the package that they came in - but if you have had another deep sea reel in your life - you know what to do. I just ordered another 4. This is a great deal - have fun with it.

Ordered the 7 ft combo pk on Monday and it arrived on my door steps that Wednseday undamaged and in new condition. Compared to local tackle shop prices these are a great value. Have used them several times and they seem to be solid. Reels are smooth, drags function properly, and rods hold up to a lot of presure. Would rate them as med to med/heavy action, there are no indication of action on the rods.
