C'mon that price is just ridiculous

That's what I was just thinking...wasn't this supposed to be less than $100?

Scott E. says:
The price might change, this is a listing with no pictures and very little information. I don't even recall them giving any prices when they announced the special edition. Sit tight and wait, it might drop, it also might not.

i still pre-order days ago. If I'm not feeling it I can always cancel. I don't want to be screwed over by scalpers if I like it and come to late.

Since this is a Limited Edition and price may little higher than regular. In addition, if Limited Edition really carry something unique then I believe it still worth to have.

It's not a "Sony" game, so there's no reason why they would include a year of Playstation Plus.

C. Zhou says:
"Metal Gear Rising Revengeance" could be the major work Konami have at beginning of next year. $149 is little bit higer compare to the description Amazon list "a full copy of the game, official soundtrack, Limited Edition 2-sided Steelbook, and an exclusive high-frequency katana blade plasma lamp" Even so, the game made by Kojima Productions and that could be the reason why the price for limited edition is higher.

Randy says:
yeah i don't know if i can justify forking over $90 extra just for a soundtrack, steelbook, and the lamp. If it was $100 then yeah it would seem a bit more reasonable. Maybe it'll drop later.

I balked when I saw the price (its half my car payment D:). The lamp seems damn cool, but I don't want to spend over $100 to have it...no matter how sweet it would look near my PS3. I will keep my eye on it though and hope the price does drop...

I'll probably get it, the only question is 360 or PS3? Considering what a mess the PS3 version of Bayonetta was, 360 will probably be the way to go. Honestly though I prefer the Dualshock for this type of action game.

Bayonetta was developed on the 360 by the PG team while Sega ported the PS3 version. Both versions of Vanquish however were handled by PG and it turned out fantastic on both. I definitely prefer the dualshock myself when it comes to these kinds of action games but there shouldn't be a concern for which version to buy. I'm positive they'll be equal in terms of performance.

I saw the pic of the lamp in that link a few posts above...... It looks like it's plugged in by a thin USB cable. It looks like it's only 2 to 6 inches tall... Can anyone find out how big it really is? The box itself looks pretty big but if the lamp is really that tiny...... this shouldn't be more then 90 bucks. Asking $150 is ridiculous. Then again that could just be a price placeholder like amazon usually puts till something actually comes out.

I get a lot of amazon gift cards as it is, so I'm sure I can get at least half paid off by the release date, for free.
