5.0 out of 5 stars A family they chose, May 29, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The O'Malley Chronicles, Volume 1 (Three novels in one volume: The Negotiator / The Guardian / The Truth Seeker) (Hardcover)
This is the stories of the O'Malley family, a group of orphans, that decided that they would be their own family. They pick a name, O'Mally and go into professions that will make a better world. Eventually, they all find God thru their youngest sibling, just a great read, suggest you start with the first and read them all in order, I started at the end and kept ordering from the library until I could read them all. Finally bought them and read them again in order. You won't be sorry to read this fantastic series, one of those series that can be read again and again.

THE O'MALLEY CHRONICLES
Vol. 1: The Negotiator, The Guardian and The Truth Seeker

Vol. 2: The Protector, The Healer and The Rescuer
© 2004 Dee Henderson

For those who missed reading the O'Malley novels as individual books, this is an opportunity to meet a special family of individuals who decided as young orphans to become a family.

For those who loved the books, these two volumes are a chance to have and read the series from beginning to end.

The O'Malleys grew up to work in medicine and law enforcement. Their work leads them into mystery/suspense--with just the right amount of romance --that keeps readers turning pages as they embrace the larger-than-life O'Malleys who back each other up at any cost. Each novel leaves the reader with a solved case, a better acquaintance of the family members, a more sure knowledge of the point of faith with which each O'Malley must wrestle and a hunger for just one more glimpse into the unique family Henderson has created.

THE O'MALLEY CHRONICLES are keepers to read over and over again. Don't forget to add my personal favorite, the Prequel, DANGER IN THE SHADOWS.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too slow, December 9, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The O'Malley Chronicles, Volume 1 (Three novels in one volume: The Negotiator / The Guardian / The Truth Seeker) (Hardcover)
I read the first two books in this volume for my book club. Some day, I might read the third book but I just couldn't do it now. I could not get in to these books. The writing is fine and the author is very knowledgable on many different subjects. And I liked the spiritual aspect and lack of vulgarity.

However, I found the story too slow for this genre. The characters never seemed real to me and the dialouge doesn't ring true. I had to force myself to continue.
