My toilets are fairly new (5 years) 1.6 gallon toilets, but I've been looking for options to convert them to dual flush. One of our toilets developed a leak recently, so it was time to take the plunge. There are quite a few conversion kits out there, but I wanted something that worked well and looked good too. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the replacement parts in Being Water's One2Flush Dual Flush Bonus Pack. I'm not super handy, but I was able to replace all the parts in my toilet myself thanks to the easy to read, step-by-step instructions. Being Water's One2Flush Dual Flush Bonus Pack comes with everything you need to replace ALL the parts inside the toilet tank, a new flush value, new fill value and new tank to seat bolts. I now have a new dual flush toilet! I had a number of questions before and after my purchase due to my inexperience with this sort of thing and Being Water was fabulous about answering all my questions and quickly too. I also liked that they shipped the kit without any unnecessary packaging. I was a little disappointed that they used styrofoam packing peanuts though. Not to be nit-picky, but now I have to properly recycle them and styrofoam is not the most convenient item to recycle. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the product, my toilet no longer leaks and in addition I am saving water. I'm going to purchase another kit for our second bath.

I am still extremely happy with this product and it is working wonderfully and saving me quite a bit of water. I'm still planning on purchasing a second kit for my second bathroom, probably after the holidays. Thanks Being Water for a great conversion kit and making it so easy for a DIYer with very few skills and tools.

** 4/24/2010 - I purchased a second bonus pack to replace the guts of my kid's bathroom toilet. The kit has changed in minor areas since my first purchase. The fill tube end is slightly different and I think it's an improvement over the version I have in my master bath. The kit also comes with 3 toilet to tank bolts now, there must be some toilets out there with 3 bolts. No packing peanuts!!! Thank you Being Water for being green in the packing too. The kit works beautifully and I look forward to saving more water, especially since I have a son and he'll use the half flush most of the time. I'm still a big fan, but I have one complaint with this purchase. I received no instructions this time. I don't know if Being Water assumed I'd installed before and didn't need them or if they were just forgotten, but I did get a little frustrated, especially when the only instructions they have online are for the valve. With my first kit I received very nice color step-by-step instructions for installing the whole kit. Hopefully a new customer gets the instructions!

I was really interested in seeing my water bill after installing the One2Flush. I felt it was going to be positive and it was. My Utility provides a graph of the year's usage and for this time of year I averaged 3700 gallons and the previous month was 3650 gallons. A month after installing this on one of our three toilets our usage dropped to 2600 gallons. Being fair that is the most used toilet in the house but I had no idea that much water was going down the drain. I figured, at this rate, this unit will pay for itself in 2 1/2 months.

I had set aside the morning for installing this, since I had never took the tank off of a toilet; I was unsure what I was in for. It was 1 2 3 and less then half an hour later I turned the water to the toilet back on. Fifteen minutes in fine tuning and it was all set to go. My one piece of advise is to get the complete kit including the gasket and bolts. One of the bolts I removed was about to give way and it appeared that the old gasket was about to start leaking and it was handy having everything there and not stopping in the middle to rum to the hardware store.

Shortly, I will be ordering another two units. I don't expect as much reduction in my usage as the first but I am certain they will pay for themselves in several months. Aside from the money, which was my main goal, it feels good being a little greener with no change in lifestyle.

With the help of my stepfather, I converted my 1.6 gal to dual flush, with wonderful results. I'm saving so much water! It's easier if you have a technical person to help you. Make sure you clean the inside of the tank really well, or else you could get leaks in the bolts (I had this problem). After the initial installation difficulties, it's been a breeze.

This was easy to install with a few basic hand tools. Flush adjustments were fast and easy. After my next water bill, I'll decide whether to install on the other two toilets.

I actually bought the model for 3 inch toilets. I have an American Standard 1.6 gallon toilet with a 3 inch drain on the tank, makes it very efficient at low flow.

I installed the kit within an hour and spent another 10 minutes adjusting the flush. I've got the "pee" flush down to about half of what it was and the "poo" down to about 1.2 gallons. Still flushes great. If you can't get it to flush be sure to try adjusting the tabs on the flush mechanism or contact support for more help.

Everything worked great for about two weeks and one of the cables came loose in the flush mechanism. I contacted Beingwater and Bruce emailed me back in less then 2 hours letting me know a replacement had been shipped out. Normally I would deduct a star for something like this, but with customer service as good as this I can overlook it.

Replacement was installed in 5 minutes and just set it the same as the old unit. Works great!

This kit is easy to fit, has good instructions and saves water and money. It takes about an hour from start to finish to fit this kit including cleaning the tank and adjusting the dual flush amounts. One thing to note is it comes with 2 tank bolts, so if you have more than 2 bolts, you will need to save one of the old ones, or buy an additional one. I immediately noticed the filler mechanism fills my tank alot faster and more quietly than the "ballcock" version i replaced. The flush mechanism also allowed water to flow from the tank into the bowl much faster than the flapper mechanism did meaning less water was needed to "empty" the bowl. the Handle can be mounted a number of ways, but i found hanging straight down suited us best. This way, the handle is partially hidden by the toilet seat, requiring the seat and cover to be put down before flushing. One improvement i would like to see this product have is for the handle to have less play before engaging.

Installed the One2Flush Dual Flush Bonus Pack in one of my toilets that is used the most. This product lives up to what it says it will do and is very easy to install. Watch the video twice to make sure you understand the steps required for a correct install. You will need to refer to the written directions so have them handy as well.

The only thine I would change is the tank gasket. It is pretty thick and allows my tank to wobble a bit. Your tank may be different and won't matter to you. On the next install for my master bath I will purchase a thinner gasket at my local hardware store and may change out the perviously installed gasket.

I have noticed a difference in water consumption and the flush action is stronger so everything gets flushed out immediately. It's almost like the bottom drops out of the tank and everthing disappears in the blink of an eye. The action is quiet and the fill is fast and quieter then the old fill valves were.

All in all this is a great product and I recommend it to anyone if they are looking to cut down on water consumption and poor operating flapper vales etc. Don't be worried about the conversion because between the video and the written directions it's very easy.

I bought one of these, and at the same time I also bought another brand (HydroRight kit with the push button flush). Comparing my experience with both toilets, I much prefer the One2flush. On the HydroRight kit, the flush mechanism is a button rather than a handle. Not so bad, but The half flush button is rather temperamental and only works if you hold the button the EXACTLY right amount of time.

The only problem I have had with the One2Flush is that over time the plastic flush handle broke (a small piece chipped off) making the handle non functional. I called their support line, and a new one (at no charge) was in overnight mail. Because of the fact that the handle is plastic, and likely to break again, I ordered an extra to keep on hand. If the flush handle were metal, it would be perfect and I would have rated it 5 stars.


Oh yes, There has been a noticeable drop in my water bill.

I purchased this to retrofit a 40 year old toilet with a 5 gal tank in our downstairs bathroom. This bathroom will get renovated in a few years, but until them I thought I would give this a try. I am tired of replacing the standard flush valves every 2-3 years -- the parts don't stand up to the additives in the public water supply here in NY, plus, I know this toilet is wasting a lot of water. Unlike some of the other reviewers, my unit took my 4 hours to install -- and I know what I'm doing around the house and in the shop. What took so long? I encountered 2 problems during the installation -- some due to this units design, others due to the fact that I was installing it on a very old toilet. Problem #1: the nut holding the old flush valve to the toilet tank bottom was frozen. This required breaking out the SonicCrafter and cutting the nut off (+45 minutes). Problem #2: the rubber boot that fits between the bottom of the new flush valve (bottom of tank) and the water inlet on the toilet body is taller than the original one, causing the tank to not sit flush on the toilet body. This required some custom fitting, installing and removing the tank over 3 times (+1.5 hours). How does it work now that it's installed? It works well -- it only took me about 10 minutes to adjust it to a reasonable flush volume, and the difference is noticeable. I deducted 1 star for the cheap plastic that the entire system is made from, especially the new flush handle -- only time will tell how long it stands up to use by a family of 4. It does seem to work well as a water saving device.

I installed the item about a month ago and it working great.

Well, it took me more than 30 minutes to install it correctly, it took me 90 minutes to get it all installed and cleaned up. The instructions really don't tell you much about where to put all the rubber washers and I ended up with a leak. I figured it out eventually and the half and full flush are working.

I even tried to play with the half flush adjustment and found the best setting. I will be ordering a couple more to upgrade all toilets in the house with the dual flush.
