This Thing Rocks!!!! In my Humble Opinion, January 14, 2006
This review is from: ONKYO TX-SR702B Home Theater Receiver for Audio System (Electronics)
Let me start by saying this is my first post or opion on any site ever so please bare with me.
I'm not sure what the guy and his buddy were doing to have two bad TX-SR702's this thing is unreal. I came home pluged it in, ran seven speaker wires, pluged in my white and red cabels to my DVD and I had istant music on every stero listening mode the Onkyo has to offer. I'm just a normal guy who was looking for good sound between $699 and $799. Let me tell you, I found it. If you can find a better receiver with this many options and this kind of sound, you better buy it. I have had one problem "human error" and I made one call to Onkyo in NJ and it was fixed. Heck if you don't believe me here is the # try yourself

Very good, October 6, 2005
This review is from: ONKYO TX-SR702B Home Theater Receiver for Audio System (Electronics)
Second ONKYO receiver. Bought a 747 in 1998 when it was close to top of the line. It took 7 years for it to become outdated.
Onkyo is the best and One Call was a great place to buy it !

Avoid this receiver!!, January 27, 2005
This review is from: ONKYO TX-SR702B Home Theater Receiver for Audio System (Electronics)
Hooked it all up, no sound from anything other than the front right or center channel, irregardless of the source. Read the manual and had to setup a lot of features to configure the receiver. Still No output for dolby digital, only front right and center. Display indicated PCM and PLII and I confirmed the source of audio was from DVD digital output. I call it D.O.A.!
A guy I work with also bought one of these exact receivers. His was totally D.O.A out of the box!
Now I have to hassle with the vendor for a refund or hassle with Onkyo for warranty repair! Wish I had never bought it!
