Product Description

Stylish yet affordable helmet with built-in Bluetooth and good airflow. The Fastrack II is the second iteration of the popular Oneal Bluetooth helmet that allows Bluetooth compatible GPS, cellular phones and other media devices to easily sync with the system so you can listen to your turn-by-turn directions or stream to the built-in stereo speakers. With no wire hanging out or cumbersome mic against your mouth, the Fastrack II helmet integrates all the communications technology you need into a quality, protective lid. The BLINC Bluetooth module is also a brilliantly simple solution to wirelessly communicate from bike to bike or rider to passenger.

O'Neal Fastrack II--Easy Bluetooth Connectivity with a Lightweight, Stylish Design

Stylish and comfortable, the O'Neal Fastrack II helmet features an advanced, lightweight design and comes equipped with an integrated Blinc Bluetooth communication system--allowing riders to talk, listen to music, or hear GPS directions.

Bluetooth Connectivity for Easy Talk, Tunes & GPS

The O'Neal Fastrack II uses the world renowned Blinc brand Bluetooth integrated system. It is perfect for tethering several A2DP devices together. If you are streaming your music via Bluetooth and your phone rings, you can answer or reject it. If you answer, the music stops. When you hang up, it begins playing where it left off. You can also use this device as a 1-to-1 intercom system for rider-to-passenger open mic communication. One of the best features is that each rider can listen to their own music, make their own calls (provided each has a Bluetooth enabled phone), or talk to each other with the intercom feature.

Advanced Design for Superior Comfort and Protection

The Fastrack II is constructed using PrePreg fiberglass and nylon cross woven construction, an advanced manufacturing process typically reserved for exotic Italian cars and high end composite aeronautical parts. This production technique is very rare for motorcycle helmets, and results in an extraordinarily uniform and precise shell design. Each shell is weighed and must be within 50 grams of the stated weight on the back of the helmet in order to pass strict quality controls.

This also results in a shell that is very light weight. Additionally, O'Neal uses three different outer shell sizes throughout the 6 sizes available (XS-2X), ensuring that the helmet looks proportionate on your body. Many other brands only use a single shell size across their different helmet sizes, resulting in a disproportionate look.

The oversized spoiler on the top of the helmet is one of its most clever features. It has been designed to pull the tornadic buffeting that occurs on the rear of all helmets away from the rear of the helmet. This makes the helmet much quieter and more stable at highway speeds.

The interior of the Fastrack II features Quad-Core EPS design. This is composed of five separate pieces of EPS (Expanded Poly Styrene) with four different densities. They fit together like a jigsaw puzzle to create a lightweight helmet that provides superior protection.

The face shield is made to be easy to remove and replace. Simply open the shield, pull the hook tab, and the shield will release. To reinstall it, simply mate the circular center piece in the "up" position and it will snap back into place. This makes changing shields at twilight simple and functional. The clear shield included is treated with both anti-fog and anti-scratch coatings. There are also smoke and chrome shields available for purchase separately.

Bluetooth works great, helmet fits good and is comfortable.

I mostly use the Bluetooth for listening to music and GPS instructions while riding and it works very well for those purposes.

I was very hesitant to order this helmet without trying it on in person. However, the sizing chart I found online was dead on and the critical reviews proved false (at least on the one I received).

First, the helmet is very nice to look at (I've already had a few people comment on how good it looks).

Second, the Bluetooth is very easy to set up, is attached sturdily to the inside, and works as well as you should expect (i.e., it's no Bose sound quality, but it's crisp, clear, and loud enough to hear).

Third, with the vents open, I experienced no fogging, even while wearing sunglasses.

Overall, I think this is a steal for the price. In fact, I just ordered one for my wife as well.

The bluetooth and speakers on this helmet work very well, and are easy to set up with your iPhone. But the helmet itself is so flimsy, and at speeds above 25 miles per hour so noisy, it's not worth it. I ended up buying a shoei helmet, and ripped out the bluetooth from this helmet and installed it in the new one. Now I can hear music and talk on the phone at 70 mph no problem. Pulling out the electronics showed this helmet to be of very shoddy construction. Do yourself a favor, buy a nice, quiet helmet and put in a blinc or other bluetooth yourself.

My review may somewhat be bias coming from a Shoei RF1100. My Shoei got damaged in our relocation move and was cashed out by the moving company. I was about to buy another mic set for my Cardo G4's when I figured I would see what Bluetooth helmets were out there. I read the reviews and would have to say everything reported that's negative is spot on.

1. "Flimsy" I read one review that said the helmet was flimsy, I couldn't wrap my head around how a full face helmet could be flimsy? Well, O'neal figured out a way. The area that covers your chin is soft and pliable. If you push in on the chin guard / face protection portion of the helmet it flexes and it flexes a lot. Enough to be seriously concerned about safety in the event of a crash.

2. Bluetooth is cheap. Again, bias because I'm coming from Cardos the blink Bluetooth mechanics, wiring and speakers all feel cheap and of low quality.

3. The Bluetooth in my helmet was defective right out of the box. The left speaker cuts in and out in and out.

4. "Changing songs" So, unless I just overlooked it in the manual there is no forward or reverse for song selection. If you have this connected to your iphone you listen to whatever is on your play list and you can't skip ahead or back up.

5. No volume control with my iphone 4. I'm not sure what I may be doing wrong but I cannot get the volume knob on the helmet to control the volume on my Iphone 4s. Could be related to not being able to skip songs but the only control you have on the helmet is the rocker for volume and the phone button to start / end calls.

6. Chin guard is way too close to mouth. I don't like my mouth / lips and my go-t rubbing on the front of the chin guard. No, I don't have an oversized head.

This helmet is super comfy! The mic picks up audio great, and the speakers can get loud enough to drown out engine and wind noise (not completely). I've tested music and phone calls with this. I can't ceem to get it to skip tracks, which is a bummer, but voice commands to work!
I've painted mine with rustoleum plastic spray (plastidip is better) a base matte red w/ black vents, and it looks awesome!

I haven't been able to test out the intercom feature, which I believe is limited to 30meters. A lot shorter than the aftermarket addons.

I haven't been in a crash, so I can't say for the safety, however the padding is thick, removable, and inner foam is strong and thick as well. This helmet is both DOT and ECE certified.

If you are looking for a starter/passengrr helmet, I recommend this. If you have an awesome helmet already, go with a Bluetooth add-on - if your looking for Bluetooth functions.
This helmet can work with any Bluetooth intercom addons

Okay, so I have owned this helmet for about two days now, and I feel like I can give an honest impression of what to expect from it. I will be sending it back.

First some background: I love technology, and riding. I ride 365 days a year (Gotta love CA weather), have been riding since I turned 18 and I have never owned a car. I spend at least 25% of my income on electronics. So, I have some experience with these things. I ride with my iPhone hooked up through my EarPods with a name-brand, and a Fuel Helmet ( http://www.amazon.com/Fuel-Helmets-Helmet-Gloss-Black/dp/B008S9CHW4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1418598243&sr=8-2&keywords=helmet+motorcycle ). The Fuel Helmet is not that great at keeping wind noise down, and really lacks any features except removable liner/vents. The pros of this set up are complete control of music, volume, tracks, but I have a wire running down me and the idea of talking on the phone is a joke. Volume and sound quality are nice, but I would really like to step it up.

What I was looking for in this Helmet:

Good Protection = All helmets should have this, and I'm not going to be testing or comparing this.

Low Wind-Noise = It's better than the Fuel, but by a hair. I'm not expecting Shoei here, and I could live with it if not for lack of volume in the Bluetooth System.

Modern Mechanical Features = It has the chin net, plastic face mask, which are welcome additions to regulate temperature and fog. The only feature I would like that it doesn't have is the drop down tinted visor, but I knew this before purchasing.

Bluetooth = I wanted complete music control, with loud volume although I don't mind bad quality.
