Wetsuits all fit differently. Bodies are all different. Finding the best fit is all I'm really looking for in a wetsuit. My last brand was great except for the hood, which pulled down on my head. But it was the best fit overall at that time.

When the Mutant came out I found my perfect wetsuit. It could have been custom made it fit so well and was so comfortable. The neck and hood are my favorite as I can hardly feel them there. The material is soft and stretchy. The only problem is I get flushed through the neck closure sometimes.

I'm buying my fourth Mutant now. The material keeps getting better. I use it almost every day and it keeps me warm for about a year. At that point it still looks good but has lost its warmth. I pass these used ones on to people who don't get as cold as me and they use them for another year or so.

I really like the material this suit is made of and the versatility of being able to zip on a hood. It's super flexible and feels great. However, I got a big problem with the neck when I'm not using the hood. Even with a rash guard, it feels like a razor slicing at my adam's apple. My friend has the same suit, different size and has the same problem. I never had this problem with any of my older suits. Good luck

As recommended by the experienced store rep got size Large - I'm 190 pounds and 5'11" tall. But found it unbearable hassle to get in. It took massive energy to get in this suit, then add boots and hoody. Plus it felt very uncomfortable around the neck, difficult to breathe and paddle due to thick material resistance. Very disappointed, was expecting super flexible stretch neoprene that would be comfortable and easy to slide in with zipper access.

It will keep you warm and toasty. The materials and sealing is top notch.

I highly recommend that you carefully try it on for size before purchasing. Take your time to be sure it will remain comfortable for an hour+ not just a few minutes at the store.

I bought this over 3 years ago, and living by the beach, it has been used hundreds of times. The flex felt like my 3/2, but the warmth was on a level of its own. Two hour surfs in cold temps were now a comfortable experience. After three years, the neoprene has weakened and is now coming apart. I will be buying another, or the psycho 2 with taped seams inside and out. The hood was a cool feature for free, but mine never hit the water. Buy one...

Great Suit! I'm 6'4", 220 lbs, and athletically built; 44-46 chest, 34-36 waist, muscular thick thighs... An XLT is what I got and it fits perfectly...
The suit has great versatility with the hood vs. neck-only option. The neck-only does fit snug because it seals so water doesn't flush in, if you have a thick bull-neck I could see this clinching on you a bit, you could always use the hood to alleviate that, but it works fine for my regular neck... Yes it's contortionist entry with no back zipper, but it's not that hard & that makes it's upper body and overall mobility unparalleled with full range of motion, I use it for SUPing in the Pacific ocean in water that's low 50s off the SF area coastlines & it does not restrict my ability to paddle/row pivot or move in the slightest as other rear zip suits can... You can't go wrong with this suit for versatility, mobility & sealed warmth.
