There really wasn't anything wrong with the product.

They are strong enough to hold those things (relatively lightweight) very well.

We have "Standard Brick" and these did not fit at all.

We've been using these for about a year now, and we think they're great. Both of us are retired military, so we have a large number of heavy wall-mount keepsakes. In our new home, we also have a very long wall of brick, at one end of which is our fireplace. The rest of the wall was very bare until we took a chance on these, and we have been extremely happy with them. They fit our standard size bricks quite well (you have to kind of snap them on, so I have to wonder if other reviewers have just not been pushing hard enough to achieve the snap), and they are holding some pretty heavy items. It doesn't take more than one, even for our heaviest keepsakes. We live next to a railroad track, so we get a lot of vibration day and night, and not one of these has yet fallen off, even the ones holding the heaviest items. We'll be filling up that wall using these.

These Brick Clips work great. I have been using them for the past 3 years. I have them holding up a clock and thermometer by my deck and also use them to hold up a wreath and other Christmas decorations on my porch.

Pro: They are easy to use on the brick and do not do any damage. They hold just about anything, even in strong wind and rain. They also come in two colors, gold and silver.

Con: Your mortar must be deep enough to give you enough brick for these to grab. Also, the little hook that the give you on the clip is sometimes not deep enough to hold what you want. A wire hanger for a clock or something will fit, but the hard wire on a wreath is too thick for the hook. I make it work by using a piece of wire or wire tie to hook the wreath to the clip. It works fine but a deeper hook would work better.

Works well, just like the clips we have from 40 or so years ago. These (as of this writing) are still made in the USA, which I like. You do need a good brick surface (not the edge but the top and bottom of the surface) for them to grasp, but other than that they work great. EASY to install and remove.

I could not find these locally at all, so it was nice to find them here.

I have a hammer drill and a bunch of different anchors and screws that hold things on a wall (heavy, light, big, small, etc.). But it's a chore getting things mounted this way; the drill is loud and bone-rattling, the area under the drilling gets concrete/mortar dust, and I need to bring and manage an extension cord.

These brick clips are much more convenient, and are very secure if you use them with brick that's ~2 1/4" tall, and has recessed mortar joints. If your mortar is practically flush with the surface of the brick, or if you have taller or shorter brick, these clips probably won't work that well.

I have a 15 lb. wreath hanging on one of these, and it's extremely secure. It takes a screwdriver and a good amount of pressure to pop the clip off the wall, so I have no doubt my wreath will be staying in place as long as my brick wall stands.

After reading the other reviews, I went to their website. It states:

Fits standard size bricks 2-1/8"r to 2-1/5"

My brick looks standard to me, but when I measured it, it was between 2 1/2 and 2 3/4. Another brick clip website states up to 2 1/2" is standard.

You also need to have enough edge to clip them on, one website states 1/8", for the clip to fasten on, so if your mortar comes out to the edge, it won't have room to attach.

The Brick Clip Fasteners by AmeriTrade have three sizes, so I believe we each need to find the clip maker who makes one to fit our brick. :)

These brick clips are sturdy and work great. But, be aware that there must be enough space on the bottom and the top of the brick for this clip to get a good "bite". Depending on the type of mortar joint you have, you might have to take a small, sharp rotary tool and make enough room in the mortar for this clip to work for you.

These are the best things since sliced bread. I'd always wanted to hang something on the front of my house but didn't want to make holes in the brick. When I found these I knew my problem had been solved. They are easy to place and remove and they don't mar the bricks. Everyone who has a brick home needs these.

These are great! They worked perfectly on our chimney of standard sized bricks. They were also very easy to install and hang things on. I plan on getting more soon! They've been hanging strong for 6 months now with no issues!
