Great Storybook!,

This review is from: Oops-a-Daisy! (Hardcover)
I purchased the book for my new 2 1/2 month old grandson, mainly because my golden retriever's name is "Daisy" and I wanted to introduce the name to him.
Turns out, I love this totally adorable storybook! The illustrations are just too cute. It also, is on Amazon's list of childrens' "Most Favorite" books. I combined all the Amazon suggested childrens' book (ie Favorite, Less Boring, Educational, etc.) lists together and this book was suggested on several items. FYI... I combined all the current books lists together, for Newborn to 2 year old books; for me it's only 168 books that I will be purchasing. I can't wait to purchase all of the books because I am sure my grandson will enjoy and learn with all of Amazon's childrens' books suggestions. My grandson is only 2 1/2 months old, but already loves the "Clifford the Big Red Dog" books. Turns out, the baby's pediatrician, says babies are drawn to the color red; as their eyes are developing. When reading the book to my 20 month old great niece she immediately turned and looked at Daisy the dog and said Daisy! Hey, my theory works! Highly recommend and definitely suggest you add this one to your child's library!!

A joyful children's picture book about learning and growing,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Oops-a-Daisy! (Hardcover)
Oops-a-Daisy! is a joyful children's picture book about learning and growing. Precocious baby rabbit Daisy is having a tricky time learning how to hop - her Mama gently explains that everybody needs to practice things, and after a long day of hard work, little Daisy finally masters the skill of hopping all on her own. Gentle and pleasing color illustrations by Gaby Hansen add a happy touch to Claire Freedman's original and engaging "read-aloud" story for children ages 3 to 7.

My daughter has been vertically challeged since she learned to walk. Down playing her numerous tumbles, I'd always say 'oops a daisy!'. I said it so much, my daughter now says it herself. This book is very cute and whimsical. The message of never give up trying is a good one, especially at my daughter's age of 4 where it either comes easily to her to she gives up quickly. The illustrations match the whimsy of text. Children won't realize the lesson being taught. Oops A Daisy is a favorite in our house.

Very cute book for the pre-school child. Practice makes perfect--or try ,try, again is the theme.
