good but not great,

While the containers are a good size, the lids have indented finger grips, making it very difficult to fit much of anything in the little boxes (you cant fill them). The containers are flimsier than I'd hoped, and a sandwich wont fit in a container or in the box easily. Also, the rubber plastic coating is already peeling off the blue box.
That said, it's still a cute lunch box, and I do use it almost every day. BUT NOT FOR SOUP since the containers are not leak proof (I've tried).

I've had this lunchbox for a few months now. I love that it's BPA free, and I honestly get compliments on it all the time. But the design is flawed in several ways:
-The lid of the lunchbox needs to be pushed into the bottom section by brute force. I've kind of figured out how to do it quickly and efficiently, but I can imagine it making some children want to cry. -The previous reviewer is correct about the indented container lids. This is supposed to help you lift up the containers from the bottom of the lunchbox, but it means that you lose space inside the containers. It doesn't bother me too much though because the containers actually hold quite a bit. -Probably the biggest problem is that the container lids do not fit onto the containers super snugly. This means that things like yogurt and soup will spill, and that you can't actually use the indented lids to pick up the containers because the pieces will just fall apart. But I've solved both of these problems with a simple heavy-duty rubberband over each container. Yes this product has some problems, but it easily earns 4 stars by the way it has helped me regulate and organize what I eat at work everyday.

cute but with flaws,
This review is from: OOTS Deluxe Lunchbox with Containers, Blue (Kitchen)
I bought this lunch box last week and have used it every day since then. It's really cute and I do get a lot of compliments. I love that I have enough containers for my lunch and snacks throughout the day and everything tucks nicely into the lunch box. I also like that I can fit silverware and a napkin underneath the lid. That being said, there are flaws with this design. Like the previous reviewer, the plastic is peeling from the container, possibly from having to shove the lid back into place. It can be a little frustrating and I can see kids really having a problem with this. I wish the snack container lids fit more securely and will use the recommendation to secure a rubberband around the container. I noticed that when I had placed something heavier in the entree container I was unable to lift the container out without pulling the container lid off. I had to oh so delicatley tilt the lunchbox and ease the container out, hoping that the lid didn't come off or all the contents spill out as I had it at a precarious angle. Would I recommend this product, yes, but not at the $40 pricetag, just because there are considerable flaws.

When I started looking for a lunchbox to take to work, I wanted something a little different than the usual choice but also easy enough to maintain. Then I heard about the OOTS lunchbox in a newspaper article and decided to give it a try. I liked the simple, smooth design of the box as well as the light blue and red combination. I think more color combinations could have been a good idea (it only comes in blue, orange, and green) but that's just nitpicking. I'm sure I would have chosen the blue one anyway.
As you can probably tell, the OOTS Deluxe lunchbox comes with little containers that stack up inside neatly for your food. And I have to say I like them so far. Keep in mind that these are not huge sized containers. Actually, the lunchbox holds three levels of containers (I thought it only held two). So I haven't felt like there is a lack of space or that I'm not going to be able to pack enough for a substantial meal. I'm looking forward to coming up with meal combinations and I find myself wanting to pack more healthy foods. The small size containers are perfect for chopped vegetables and fruit. I read another review that stated you can't "fill" the containers because of the indents in the lid. It is true that you cannot fill a container until it is up to the brim. However, I prefer it that way. If I'm going to pack some chips or other snack, I can only put so much inside. Therefore you're getting some portion control. And I have yet to go hungry. Another thing I like about the containers and the lunchbox is the option for customization. I definitely recommend getting a few extra containers of various sizes if you're going to buy. For instance, I bought another large container. The other day, I made a large sandwich that obviously wasn't going to fit in one container. So I halved the sandwich, and put each in their own container. I still had room for two smaller containers. It is also not a requirement to use every container (perhaps something other reviewers didn't get). I grabbed a small, ordinary plastic container and popped some dip in it for my veggies and made sure to place it at the top. You could easily do that with little plastic bags or keep a bag of chips or something at the top if the containers don't hold enough for you. One thing I would like to point out is that the lids don't actually snap down like you might expect. This might put people off as you may get an occaison where the lid comes off while you are pulling it out. I've only had this happen to me once so far, though. I find that if you press the lid down all the way until it's flushed with the line, they stay closed. And if you can't because there is too much food inside, maybe you should think about decreasing. For extra safety measure, it's easy enough to put a rubber band around it like another reviewer suggested (thanks!). All in all, I find this lunchbox very enjoyable and easy to use. It isn't perfect, but it's good enough to recommend to people, especially those looking for a better, environmentally healthier alternative to brown bagging and plastic bags.

I bought this lunchbox for my daughter to take to school. The outside is a dull plastic and gets dirty very easily and is almost impossible to clean. The strap to hold the water bottle on top eventually lost it's elastic and fell apart. The containers that go inside do not stay closed as there is no seal - the lid just sits on top. Cute design but not well made. Probably would work better for an adult.

I was searching for a lunch box that wasn't the typical looking box . First i was really looking for a bento box but none of them seemed like they would hold the food that i typically eat.I came across this lunch box and yes i must admit it is a little "young" looking because of the colors but its awesome! it holds everything i want and more! the only thing i have to complain about is i wish the strap was a little bit longer so that when there is a water bottle in place on top you still have room to hold it by the handle.

I purchased this lunch box for my son who is in all day Kindergarten. After 4 weeks of use I'm already needing a replacement. The closure stap has broken. It is no longer attached to the body of the lunch box. I did like the look of it but have the same problem of the outer coating coming off in a several spots. I've also had trouble with lids staying on the containers. Luckily it is dishwasher safe due to a few spills with yogurt and applesauce.
