Product Description

Color: Orange

This modern lunch box, made of safe polypropylene plastic, comes with its own matching containers! These cool and contemporary lunch boxes will forever solve the issues that most parents have with the majority of lunch boxes: cleaning and durability. Cleaning this lunch box is easy, there are no folds or hidden corners, and you can put it in the dishwasher. Because of the materials used, this lunch box will last at least a whole school year. The use of space is optimal with custom containers that comfortably fit inside. Using and re-using these containers is also good for the environment. And if you want to take a water bottle, the lid of the lunch box is shaped to keep a bottle in place, under an elastic strap. The ‘stacked’ design and materials used give these lunch boxes a surprising look, and make them a playful and tactile object for little fingers. The upright design and the containers also prevent food from being tossed around. The Lunchbox is another example of the Dutch design savvy that OOTS! brings to all its products: an optimal combination of style and added functionality. And sure, adults can use the Lunchbox as well! All materials used are food safe and kid-friendly: made from BPA-free and phthalate-free polypropylene and safety tested for lead. The lunch box and containers are dishwasher safe (top rack) and the containers can be used in a microwave. The Lunchbox Deluxe is available in three different colors: Blue, Green and Orange. You can also purchase separate containers, as replacements, or as an extra set for continuous use.

It doesn't bother me too much though because the containers actually hold quite a bit.
Vanessa
My lunchbox is now coated in some kind of grime, which is impossible to wash off with any kind of soap or detergent.
Shannon G.
The containers that go inside do not stay closed as there is no seal - the lid just sits on top.

I've had this lunchbox for a few months now. I love that it's BPA free, and I honestly get compliments on it all the time. But the design is flawed in several ways:

-The lid of the lunchbox needs to be pushed into the bottom section by brute force. I've kind of figured out how to do it quickly and efficiently, but I can imagine it making some children want to cry.

-The previous reviewer is correct about the indented container lids. This is supposed to help you lift up the containers from the bottom of the lunchbox, but it means that you lose space inside the containers. It doesn't bother me too much though because the containers actually hold quite a bit.

-Probably the biggest problem is that the container lids do not fit onto the containers super snugly. This means that things like yogurt and soup will spill, and that you can't actually use the indented lids to pick up the containers because the pieces will just fall apart. But I've solved both of these problems with a simple heavy-duty rubberband over each container.

Yes this product has some problems, but it easily earns 4 stars by the way it has helped me regulate and organize what I eat at work everyday.

While the containers are a good size, the lids have indented finger grips, making it very difficult to fit much of anything in the little boxes (you cant fill them). The containers are flimsier than I'd hoped, and a sandwich wont fit in a container or in the box easily. Also, the rubber plastic coating is already peeling off the blue box.

That said, it's still a cute lunch box, and I do use it almost every day. BUT NOT FOR SOUP since the containers are not leak proof (I've tried).

I bought this lunch box last week and have used it every day since then. It's really cute and I do get a lot of compliments. I love that I have enough containers for my lunch and snacks throughout the day and everything tucks nicely into the lunch box. I also like that I can fit silverware and a napkin underneath the lid. That being said, there are flaws with this design. Like the previous reviewer, the plastic is peeling from the container, possibly from having to shove the lid back into place. It can be a little frustrating and I can see kids really having a problem with this. I wish the snack container lids fit more securely and will use the recommendation to secure a rubberband around the container. I noticed that when I had placed something heavier in the entree container I was unable to lift the container out without pulling the container lid off. I had to oh so delicatley tilt the lunchbox and ease the container out, hoping that the lid didn't come off or all the contents spill out as I had it at a precarious angle. Would I recommend this product, yes, but not at the $40 pricetag, just because there are considerable flaws.

I had seen this product in a couple of design magazines. I did some research and decided to make buy a new lunchbox in honor of a new job. I have a lot of fun with this... It is a wonderful way to control portions. I would recommend purchasing a second set of containers to help prepare meals in advance. I also have received lots of wonderful comments.

Although this was advertised as good for adults when I first found out about it, it is perfect for kids that like a varied meal. The lunchbox is sturdy but lightweight plastic with a domed plastic top and a handle that will hold a water bottle snugly. It comes with four smaller containers and one "large" which will hold an average size sandwich cut in half and stacked. Or the large container could contain an adult size lunch salad. Four smaller 8 oz containers stack on top of the larger one. For my daughters day at school I might pack a sandwich, carrot sticks, grapes, nuts and cookies all in their own little containers. She loves it, it's more healthful than than the school food and I don't have to use lots of little plastic bags that just get thrown away. The containers are microwave safe and I have washed them in the top rack of my dishwasher on numerous occasions with no problem. As far as durability we have had it for half a school year and a summer's worth of day camps and it is like new. The only potential downside is that it is fairly large if space is an issue, 8.5" tall, 7" wide and almost 4" deep.

When I started looking for a lunchbox to take to work, I wanted something a little different than the usual choice but also easy enough to maintain. Then I heard about the OOTS lunchbox in a newspaper article and decided to give it a try. I liked the simple, smooth design of the box as well as the light blue and red combination. I think more color combinations could have been a good idea (it only comes in blue, orange, and green) but that's just nitpicking. I'm sure I would have chosen the blue one anyway.

As you can probably tell, the OOTS Deluxe lunchbox comes with little containers that stack up inside neatly for your food. And I have to say I like them so far. Keep in mind that these are not huge sized containers. Actually, the lunchbox holds three levels of containers (I thought it only held two). So I haven't felt like there is a lack of space or that I'm not going to be able to pack enough for a substantial meal. I'm looking forward to coming up with meal combinations and I find myself wanting to pack more healthy foods. The small size containers are perfect for chopped vegetables and fruit. I read another review that stated you can't "fill" the containers because of the indents in the lid. It is true that you cannot fill a container until it is up to the brim. However, I prefer it that way. If I'm going to pack some chips or other snack, I can only put so much inside. Therefore you're getting some portion control. And I have yet to go hungry.

Another thing I like about the containers and the lunchbox is the option for customization. I definitely recommend getting a few extra containers of various sizes if you're going to buy. For instance, I bought another large container. The other day, I made a large sandwich that obviously wasn't going to fit in one container.
