I have searched high and low for THEEE perfect red. I am half Mexican/German so I am fair skinned- but tan nicely in the summer. I have been looking for a red that I can wear no matter what skin tone I am. I am very picky about my reds--don't like them too orange, pink, or purple. I always wanted to find a deep rich Christmas red without it looking tacky. It's been an exhausting search but I have finally found it. This color is a dark rich color when it's not in direct light. So it just looks like an average wine color. But when you stick your arm out the window or have any light directly on it, it shines like a beautiful lighter red, like a cherry. It's perfect I tell you! I always get asked what color it is, and told how nice it looks. This color makes me want to buy it in stock because lord knows as soon as you get hooked on a cosmetic they decide to discontinue it!!
There is always some idiot that won't like my post and will want to argue for the sake of being "right." That's why this is a review, and it IS a bias opinion of what I think of the product and I won't reply. But I will give my two cents about other reds I've tried from OPI as well. If you agree with my opinions on those, then you might want to take a gamble on this color and thank me later!
The other "reds" from OPI I've tried, including but not limited to:
-Bastille my heart (send choice for real red, red. It's got pink/purple undertones- nice );
-Black cherry chutney (beautiful but not red. It's a dark/purple wine color--at first glance it could be in the black family--I like it for my toes);
-Royal rajah ruby (this has a sparkle of gold in it. It's a good red but I just didn't care for it and gave it to my mom);
I got the blues for red (just okay--nothing to go gaga over);
Mrs O'leary's Bbq (cute, but not the cherry red I wanted maybe tied for second, less purple in it);
Big Apple Red (too orange for my taste)

true it is rather dark. if you can handle that , you will not be disappointed w/ this shade. it has tones of burgandy, purple, browns and reds, it is quite a spectrum!!

Simply the best.
In my opinion no one can compete with OPI for quality of application and staying power rather you are a professional or not the quality of this product is one of the best.

Greatest Nail Polish
If you know OPI and nail polish you'll love this color. It's a fantastic late summer, fall, early winter color. I wear it regularly.

Gorgeous
This is such a gorgeous red. It shines like lacquer. It's a bit dark but definitely classy. I think this is my favorite color yet.
