5.0 out of 5 stars Great Stuff
I've been detailing cars for over 20 years.
This is by far the best stuff I've ever used. It lasts as long as traditional waxes and takes about 1/2 the time to apply.

3.0 out of 5 stars What's with the bottle?
This item, from how it is described and how it works, is great. I dont have the greatest car in the world right now but I cant stand scrubbing going through the process of getting the oxidation off of my headlights. We do a lot of driving in Vermont and New Hampshire and at night we need bright lights. So far so good, and I hope the product lasts and keeps maintenence...

5.0 out of 5 stars Quickest way to really wax your car, May 22, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

Hands down the easiest way to actually wax your car. Forget the other spray waxes that aren't much more than quick detailers, this is actual wax in a spray bottle. I use my silicone blade to dry the car, give it two sprays per panel and then work the product in with a microfiber towel. Much like other Optimum products a little goes a long way so you might use too much and get some streaking. Not a problem. Come back a few minutes later and do another light coat to layer your wax and let this blend of synthetics and carnuba work for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Where has this been all my life?, May 2, 2010

I wanted to wait awhile before I talked about this. I applied it to my car (that has a clear coat) a few weeks ago and the shine is out of this world! Yes the water does bead but I don't really care about that, I just want shine and sun protection.

This is supposed to last 4 Months. My car sits outside 24/7 so I'll see in a few months.

Application is a spray or stream and I used a microfiber car mop purchased just for this and in 15 min the entire car was waxed with no sweat! My 2005 car never looked better, it looks like a mirror. Hell as easy as it is, even if it only lasts half the time it's no big deal and I'm an old guy (60's) that appreciates that.

BTW I got 2 microfiber long handle car mops each in it's own bag on here Amazon. One for wash and one for wax (you don't really need the mops, I just liked the idea). You just spray the mist on clean paint, then just spread it around and that's it. No hard work at buffing. Spray and spread then go watch TV...

If interested the mops I got were $17.95 Large White Microfiber Hand Mop Duster

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow!, April 13, 2010

Extremely great product that produces a lasting shine, glossy protection and a very smooth surface. I have used many waxes in the past, but this one is above and beyond everything I tried - in both ease of application and beautiful results.

I also have a dark colored car that I used this on and did have some streaking. By re-applying another coat (being careful not to put too much on) corrected the problem as suggested by other reviewers. While the car really shines (I used a clay bar and detailer beforehand), the finish this product leaves is not slippery as regular waxes. This really isn't a problem, just don't expect a slick surface when you are done. I think the more I use it, the more I will like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Wax!! Best Ever, July 12, 2010

Optimum car wax is fabulous -- unbelievably easy to apply (think 15-20 minutes for a standard sedan), gives a beautiful sheen, is long-lasting, requires no buffing, leaves no residue, can be applied to glass and on black plastic, headlights, everywhere without making a mess, and is environmentally friendly. Folks, follow simple directions, and it doesn't get any better than this.

THE PROBLEM with this product is the bottle it comes in. It leaks, even when in the locked position, and the bottle itself is very flimsy. It's almost like these 'eco-bottles' that bottled water comes in now. For a relatively expensive product, and one that should last a couple years, I'm very concerned with how this will store and operate down the road. To me, its like going to a 4 star restaurant and having my meal come out on a paper plate. It doesnt make sense, and the quality does not refect the price.

Easy to apply, does not streak, and produces a rich deep shine. Says it will last five months. I was skeptical at first but after three washings it looks like it has just been waxed. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can Be Used As A Quick Detailer, April 19, 2011
This review is from: Optimum Car Wax***NEW***
I recently used Opt Car Wax on a car that was dusted in yellow pollen. It did a nice job. While the title of the product says wax, it makes a good quick detailer as well. As a matter of fact, given the watery consistency of the product, I would argue that it is in fact a quick detailer. Regarding leaving streaks, I own a black colored car and most quick detailers that I tried will leave some mimimal marks depending on the time of day when I use them. So don't worry about streaking. I am using this product along side of Chemical Guys Pro Detailer ( a mix of carnauba and synthetic polymers). They both work equally well leaving that "just waxed" slick feeling. In all honesty, the more I try quick detailers, the more I think they are all about the same in what they do. They make your car look great but are no substitute for a good wax/polish. The next detailer I plan to tryout is Finish Kare 425 Extra Slick Final Body Shine. It has gotten some great reviews and is much talked about on the detailing related forums.

1.0 out of 5 stars STREAKS-NOT FOR DARK CARS, April 3, 2011
By
yohjo (San Jose, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Optimum Car Wax***NEW***
I was looking forward to trying this wax after the good reviews. Some reviews did warn about streaking so I was extra careful in the process of applying the wax. In a well lighted garage I could see no streaks after I applied the wax. Then I saw my car in the sunlight. Horrible streaking that would not disappear with a little "reapplication." I had to rewash the car with Dawn to remove the wax. A little streaking still shows because of the silicon in the product. Short story, there is no short-cut to the time and elbow grease for a good paste or liquid wax.
