I bought one of these more than ten years ago and it has been wonderful. I'm a traveling consultant so I use it in office chairs and on airliners. It's easy to adjust the firmness to suit the particular chair, by blowing more air in or letting some out. It's easy to inflate, about ten seconds of blowing, and it doesn't resist like a balloon so you don't have to have super lungs. It deflates in a few seconds and rolls or folds up into a fairly tiny package--or just leave it flat--that's easy to stow in a briefcase or travel bag. The valve closes by simply twisting it and the seal is very good. Until recently it would hold its shape for two years if I was lucky enough to get a gig that lasted that long.

My biggest problem is that it's easy to forget, but I've always managed to get it back except for one time on an airplane. (I used to have two of them.) After at least ten years this one is finally wearing out. It fails gracefully, by simply leaking slowly so you can blow it up again and put a new one on your shopping list.

Be advised that not everyone finds the same shape comfortable. This pillow is not very tall and fits into a very narrow space on your back. There are others that are taller, if that's your particular need. This one is perfect for me and I'm buying a replacement.

I wish all products were manufactured to this quality standard, although unfortunately there's no way to know whether the new one will be as good as the one that finally wore out.

I purchased the Mckenzie self inflating cushion a few months ago and love it! The easily adjustable firmness is great. I used it in my car and at home. Trouble was, I kept forgetting to bring it into the house from the car. I finally got tired of constantly returning to my vehicle to retrieve it, so I bought another one. One stays in the car, the other in my favorite chair at home. Great product that is well made and durable. Thanks! Michael K. New Jersey

This back support item is suitable, not great, but okay. I just happen to like mine a little larger.

I purchased this product one month ago and it works better than I expected. The adjustable hardness for back support is the main factor I like it. It is very light and easy to carry and you can easily move it to anywhere your body wants to get support.

I had 'The Original McKenzie Super Roll' for about one year before I purchase this Airback product. That old lumbar support Roll worked well but was not easy to carry. I found myself needed both in office and in car so I decided to buy another one for my car. I did some research and found this one might fit my need.

It looks just like a foamed envelope when I first got it and it didn't looks like it will give any support to my body. I open the air cap and it start to inflating and become ~ 1 inch in thickness. I was a little bit disappointed since it really not the self-inflating that I thought, it just some air gets in to the vacuumed bag and it is soft. I read the instruction and realized I need to blow some air in by mouth. I did that and inflating it more and it became harder. I adjust the hardness that I want and put it on my car seat. It support my low back exactly that I want and I'm very happy with it since.

In my opinion this is a great product for those suffer back pain and especially for those need a support in car and travel.

The self inflating lumbar pillow from McKenzie is doing exactly what I needed. My car does not have a lumbar support and this air pillow is perfect for adjusting just as I need to (position & firmness). I may just purchase another one to keep in my office. Might be nice for a plane too since it deflates & rolls up nice and small.

I get a great deal of relief from back pain with this air pillow. I kinda wish it was just a bit firmer or thicker, but anyway- it does give decent support as is. If a thicker/firmer one became available- I would be very interested. Nevertheless- I do highly recommend this product! :)

I have tried several back cushions that just did not work well for me. They either were too soft and gave too little support or they were uncomfortable. What I really like about this product is that you can adjust the cushion to exactly how you want by adding or removing a little air.

I carry this with me now. I use it in the car, home, office. The great thing is the self inflation and easy
adjustment. You just open the screw valve and air goes in. If it is too big just open the valve while you
are leaning back on it and close when it is just right.

This is an excellent product, my back feels better while I'm using it, and for hours afterwards. It is the perfect size, I can conveniently bring it with me anywhere. I can't believe a little pillow could take my back pain away! For the price, if you have lower back pain you have to try this.

I recently suffered a herniated lumbar disc at L5-S1 (second time!). This inflatable pillow has been a lifesaver through this painful and frustrating ordeal. I use it in the car, at the office, at restaurants, on the couch, in the bed and anywhere else I might be sitting or sleeping. My wife carries a purse that's big enough to hold the pillow in its folded & deflated state. I might order another one just to have a backup. I highly recommend this product for anyone that suffers from back issues. I would even recommend it for people that don't have back issues as a preventive measure that improves sitting posture.
