5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful tool for stretching/balancing!
I am a yoga instructor and was first introduced to this strap at an instructor training. I bought one and let some of my students try it out. They liked it so much that I bought several more and now use them regularly in my classes. It is also great for seniors or those who have challenges gripping a regular strap -- you can just place your hand(s) in the loop(s) and...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great strap with some caveats
Excellent. I had been using an old bathrobe belt at home for my stretches. When I finally felt ready to join a corporate yoga class I realized I needed something a bit classier for appearances among polite company. This thing fit the bill but be aware, the loops on the strap are difficult to get into. The strap is somewhat stiff so even with bare feet you wont be able...

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful tool for stretching/balancing!, February 24, 2006
I am a yoga instructor and was first introduced to this strap at an instructor training. I bought one and let some of my students try it out. They liked it so much that I bought several more and now use them regularly in my classes. It is also great for seniors or those who have challenges gripping a regular strap -- you can just place your hand(s) in the loop(s) and keep the hand(s) straight as you pull into the stretch. The loops provide a variety of options depending on how deeply you want to move into a stretch. In addition, it is useful for standing balance poses like dancer pose, as you can lift your leg up behind you while keeping the upper body even by placing two hands in prayer position in a loop up over your head. This gives you a nice stretch through the arms and shoulders as well.

The addition of loops to the regular strap was a brilliant idea. It allows you to focus on the stretch instead of on gripping and winding up the strap. I highly recommend the Stretch-Out Strap, and will be buying more in the future as I increase my inventory of fitness products.

5.0 out of 5 stars Especially helpful for hamstring stretches, July 18, 2006

I first used this strap in physical therapy, for lower back problems. For those who are supposed to stretch their hamstrings daily, this strap is very handy. (Really you could do just about the same thing with a towel, but this just makes it much easier, and provides much better control.) I literally use this product every day.

5.0 out of 5 stars great stretch strap, February 19, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My personal trainer recommended this one and I really love it. I'm at an age that flexibility is non-existent and trying to maintain range of motion is a high priority. Pilates stretch bands lost their elasticity -or worse yet, snapped and hit me. I've even maneged to break tubes. This seems more likely to last, and consistently allows for increasing range of motion.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST strap EVER!, February 17, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This strap offers SO many options for stretching legs, arms, shoulders, etc. I don't have enough time to explore all of the exercises. My clients love it as well as it helps them attain a firmer grip and relax muscles that should not be in use for a particular stretch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes various stretches much easier, July 3, 2007
I use the stretch out strap for my hamstrings. It is the greatest. Superior to a towel or gait belt. I wish I had known about it sooner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reviewer, October 15, 2005

I use this strap in my Power Stretch class, and this is really helpful to maximize your normal stretching ability of your body. It appears simple but extremely useful in the stretching exercise.

A small booklet explaining how to use the strap comes with it.

I recommend this to everyone who doesn't like heavy exercises.

I originally used this strap at my PT. After seeing the benefits it made sense to get one for home use and stretch out whenever need be. The instructional booklet is very helpful and easy to follow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stretch out strap an excellent value, August 10, 2011

Overall, I am very pleased with this product. It is strong and light, and the multiple loops make it easily adaptable to most any stretching exercise. A good value at a low price. My only complaint is that the loops are all the same size. This size is fine for most purposes, but too small to put over my sneakers. A few larger loops would be very useful.

This review is from: OPTP Stretch Out Strap with Instructional Booklet (Misc.)
I've had both knee and shoulder surgery, and I've been to physical therapy several times. I was given instructions on several exercises and stretches that I should do at home, not only to strengthen my joints and muscles, but keep them from deteriorating as I age.

I wish I was the kind of person that was more disciplined and followed all these instructions rigorously, but I'm not. Except for this stretch-out strap. It's so effortless to use, and you can easily pack it in your purse or luggage if you are on the road. You can use it to stretch out anywhere - in front of the TV or even in bed.

This stretch out strap comes with a booklet that gives you helpful instructions, and I've found some new exercises/stretches that have really helped.

Highly recommended. It's so simple, but it's much better than using a strap or towel. It's easy to hold on to, and easy to secure your foot to the loops. You will really get a great stretch out of this.
