Hydracoach is COOL!,

This review is from: ORANGE HydraCoach Fitness Intelligent 22oz. Water Bottle (Misc.)
I bought my hydracoach at Target. It took a few minutes and a few rereads of the instuctions for me to get it to work. I am so glad I bought it! It is so much easier to reach your daily goal for water intake by checking the little digital screen than it is to write down every bottle of water you drink. Every where I go people notice my high tech water bottle and it gives me an opportunity to show it off as well as to encourage them in their health and fitness goals. If only it came in PINK then it would be absolutely PERFECT :)
The bottle itself is of good quality and I love the little "handle" especially when my hands are full of something else. Buy it you will love it, too!

This a good buy. It will help you keep track of how much water you are consuming in a day. You can set it up very easily and it is an excellent tool for runners and dieters who need to insure that you get enough H2O to keep you hydrated. It runs on a battery so be careful not to leave your little clock running while you sleep. That is the only down fall about it. You may have to buy another battery within the first two weeks if you use it on a daily basis. Otherwise you won't be disappointed.

Eventually becomes annoying...,

In the beginning, I thought this was a great product and was excited to be able to calculate my water intake. It quickly became annoying because you have to bite the straw each time you take a drink and if you suck too hard, the calculation will be off. It now lives in a cabinet in my kitchen.

I purchased an item from Universaldvdplus and unfortunately it was not the right product for me. Universaldvdplus made it easy for me to return the product and gave me a full refund. They are to be complimented on their great customer service. I would definately recommend them to anyone.

LOVE the idea, HATE the toxic plastic used,

I was so thrilled to hear of the HydraCoach water bottle. As an athlete and someone who consistantly does not drink enough water, I thought it was a genius tool.
However, the plastic used for the HydraCoach bottle is made with a plastic compound called Bisphenol-A (number 7 in the recycling triangle). This plastic is used to make hard plastic products like the well-known Naglene bottles. Bisphenol-A is a known to be carcinogenic and particularly linked to prostate cancer and may even interfere with the effectiveness of prostate cancer medications. The Environmental Working Group writes, "Bisphenol-A is associated with a number of health problems and diseases that are on the rise in the U.S. population, including breast and prostate cancer and infertility. Given widespread human exposure to BPA and hundreds of studies showing its adverse effects, the FDA and EPA must act quickly to revise safe levels for BPA exposure based on the latest science on the low-dose toxicity of the chemical." I ask the makers of the HydraCoach to PLEASE make a bottle used with Aluminum rather than this toxic plastic. I really love your product and even think the conserns about the deliberate sipping required to use it is no big deal. It really is a genius idea. |
