ORE International Leather Futon Sofa Bed Black

Just got the Ore futon and have assembled and placed it where it'll reside until expiration. It arrives in the form factor of a large mattress, the legs and hardware are in a zippered bag that has been incorporated into the base lining of the couch. There are five legs, three for the back and two in the front. Assembly is fairly easy, but be sure to have a power screw driver as the twenty Philips screws require a fairly strong wrist to get all the way in. Once set right, the couch does what is advertised, the back lets down, along with the arms to make a fairly respectable sleep surface. I would characterize the comfort level as moderate, the seams can be felt, but it isn't too bad. Folks who are over 6ft tall may find it a bit short, but anyone below would likely find this to be an okay length. At 77 inches, from side-to-side, we had no problem fitting it in a small guest room/office. The appearance is not quite as advertised in the provided photo. First off, the color we ordered--Almond--was, most certainly, more of a yellow color. Another reviewer called it, "mustard". I wouldn't go that far, but it not quite what I saw on the screen. Also, there is a cheap black lining fabric that is attached to the bottom of the arms. It is kind of loose so that when the arms are in an "up" position the fabric will not tear or offer resistance. The fabric is visible when the arms are in their lower positions. The official photo does not reflect this.

So, is it worth it. I think so, at this price point, but time will tell. Stay tuned and I'll update, documenting the durability of the product.

I just sent this back, even though it was hell to get the legs on and off and I had to take time off work for the pick up. Actually I never could get the 4th leg on. It was great looking, great to sit on with the adjustable arms, lumpy to lie down on. Most disappointing was that it was not the beige (almond) color as shown. It was more like a mustard-yellow color. Amazon was great about taking it back, and I received a timely full refund.

The sofa arrives in a well-packed box, but there are no assembly instructions, nor any indication of where or in which direction the legs should be placed. Have a drill ready. I was sceptical of the indication that the mattress cover was entirely leather (in the Amazon.com product description), so I e-mailed customer service, which replied I should contact the maufacturer. I e-mailed the manufacturer twice. Ten days later, I received a reply indicating that only the sitting surface is leather. The rest of the mattress cover is "faux leather." This shows the Amazon.com product description is deceptive. The back only has two optional positions, an additional disappointment.
