I got this plane for Christmas. When I found out that there were no servos (no control of tail rudders) I thought that this was not going to be such a good plane to fly. I've taken the plane out for two full flights now and I love flying this plane. I've had some experience with normal, gas powered R/C planes and large gliders before, and I find this plane to be a much more relaxing experience than the gas powered planes. If you are an expert R/C flier, then you might find this plane boring.
This plane is basically a glider with two little powerful motors on it. To turn the plane it just gives power to one motor or the other. It has two motor speeds for climbing. But I've found that once you get the plane way up there, you just use the left and right control most of the rest of the flight because it just slowly glides down. You should fly on a very clam day in a large open field. Wind affects steering quite a bit. The instructions say that the battery life is about 15 minutes. You get a lot more than 15 minutes of flight time out of it because you are not constantly using the motors. You only use them to climb, maintain air-speed, or to turn. The rest of the time the plane is gliding. I'd say 1/2 an hour of flight is more like it. You will know it when the batteries are low, it just will not want to climb. When that happens, bring it in for a landing because once the batteries are out, you have no control at all.
You can't do any tricks with it really. It is slow to react, but you just have to keep that in mind while you fly it. I think I've crashed this plane about a dozen times. The only thing that happened to it is the landing gear came out of adjustment, or just popped out. Very simple to fix that. I think I have grabbed the plane out of the air more times than I crashed it. I'm sure the manufacturer doesn't recommend that, but it really isn't hard to do.
Like I said, this plane is really a glider. While flying you just have to keep an eye on the air-speed. The faster it goes the more it will want to climb. The slower it goes it will want to drop. It doesn't control like a normal plane with rudder control (if it is diving you have to gun the motors to pull up). To maintain level flight it has to be going about 20 mph (I'm guessing), which really isn't all that fast, and makes it easy to grab out of the air. The wheels are kind of small and catch in the grass too well, so even a very controlled landing in grass is going to be a crash landing, which is why I like to just catch the plane.
The best way to launch it is to throw it, and I don't mean a toss. You have to give it a hard throw, with the throttle at full blast. It has to reach that 20-25 mph air speed really quick if it is going to stay in the air. Once in the air keep it a full throttle while slowly pumping the steering in one direction to begin to circle and keep it close to you. It will continue to climb until you have reached a comfortable altitude. Once you reach that altitude, let go of the throttle and just slowly pump the steering and glide it back down.
Like I said a great novice R/C airplane. It makes a great gift for someone with little to no experience. The great thing about this plane too is that it is cheap! This thing is priced less than many of those tiny air-hogs, and is much funner to fly. All-in-all, a great novice plane for the price.

i recived this gift for chrismas and i thought it would be great. i was totally wrong. the plane is hard to build and i broke my nail doing it.the whole plane can fall apart easily if you crash it. when you try to take it off the ground to fly it goess in circles. and if you throw the plane it will most likly crash and the rear tail will break. the back landing gear totally sucks. you have to fix it every single second.actully all of the landing gear sucks. you cant even buy spare parts for this plane. this plane has an edgucational value, it shows that you should have not bought this plane. you would rather go with buying a helicopter from the mall because this plane will bring you missery.
