5.0 out of 5 stars Miracle
My cats were marking a spot repeatedly at my last residence and using my new furniture as a scratching post. I bought the feliway spray and sprayed it on my furniture and carpets in my new place before I moved in. So far no marking on the carpets and they use the scratching post as a scratching post not my furniture. It is going on two months now. Just bought some...

5.0 out of 5 stars Feliway Spray, May 12, 2010

This review is from: ORM-D Feliway Behavior Modifier, 75 ml Spray (Misc.)
I read a lot of literature on the Feliway spray, including the customer reviews at Amazon. There were some very negative reviews, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. We had three cats, two were brothers, and we found a little stray kitten while our brothers were still kittens, so they all bonded nicely. Two years later some neighbor kids brought this little starving kitten, that was half dead, to us and said their parents wouldn't let them keep him. We now had three full grown male cats, and a male kitten. Within a few months, one of our males started spraying, and all the adult cats started fighting with each other. None of them had ever sprayed, and there was no real fighting beyond rough playing until that point. Out of desperation we tried the Feliway spray and it seemed to work. We decided to buy the diffusers and put one at each end of our house. MAJIC! No more spraying and the cats all get along great. They sleep together again, and groom each other. We have really been surprised because they are all males, but they were all neutered early and have been kept indoors. The three older cats had always gotten along very well until the kitten came along, but they are happy again and get along like they used to. Our "sprayer" has even taken to playing with the newcomer and they seem to be making friends. Also, our sprayer seemed continually agitated after the kitten came along, but after the Feliway he calmed down and became his charming self again. I didn't use the product correctly at first and didn't get the results I had hoped for. I reread the instructions and made some adjustments, and the product worked perfectly. It was more than my wife and I had hoped for. I realized that some of the complaints about the Feliway were probably due to customer error, or we were just extremely lucky...either way we think Feliway is terrific! The diffusers work best in our home, but the spray works best in the cat carrier for vet trips, and in our car. Both products work well if they are used the way they are designed to be used, and if the proper application is used for various circumstances. We are very grateful for this product, and recommend it highly.

It happens most generally during the night. I've consulted my vet and she said Feliway does work for "some" cats. Since using Feliway the spraying has been significantly reduced but isn't 100% controlled. Getting rid of him is not an option so I'll keep trying. Some advice ---you will have to be very consistent when using Feliway. I remove the urine with Anti- Icky-Poo cleaner as a follow up. That has to be used exactly as instructed also and really does a good job. I would say Feliway is at least worth a try. Good luck to all who have this problem.

I had heard mixed reviews regarding this and the plug in diffusers. Out of desperation I decided to go for it... What did I have to lose, I had already thrown away so many beds and blankets. I think that consistency and the combination of the two products is working for us. This is the lowest price I found anywhere and I researched, trust me! I am now on month 2 and can honestly say there was been a huge improvement.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked like a charm, March 5, 2011

We acquired a neutered male kitten who joined 2 very settled adult cats, one neutered male and a female. The new kitten was determined to shred all my new upholstry. We tried spraying him with a squirt gun and putting aluminum foil over his favorite spots until the shiny new upholstry was making visitors think we were unbalanced. Our vet suggested Feliway spray. I spritzed just a little around the kitten's favorite scratching places and the result was instantaneous. He has not tried even once to use those spots as a scratching post. I respray (very very lightly) about once every week. It has been two months now and his interest in those spots has never returned. One tiny spritz at each corner of my couch seems to do the trick. Unbelieveable. And no, I do not own stock in Feliway. For us this really worked.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great to soothe cats nerves..., August 5, 2010

We had gotten this product for our move, both to put in the cat carriers (20 min before putting cats inside) and for helping them get acclimated to their new environment at the new house. We kept them in the bathroom, 1st with them in the carriers for about an hour then we sprayed a few places in the room - all corners and other places they would rub on. Also in the bathroom were water and a litter box; we kept them in there for about 24 hours. Thankfully there were no accidents! We then wanted to let them run the house, but first we sprayed everywhere they might rub on - all corners and places you'd see a cat rub, so we did that before we let them run free. We continued to spray at least once a day (we have 3 cats so we're supposed to spray at least 3 times a day, but that got old quick) for the first several days. I'm happy to report that we've been living in the new place for about 7 weeks now and we haven't had any accidents! The stuff even works great for bring the cats to the vet, they're so much calmer in the carriers when you spray it's amazing!!! If you have cats that spray or whatever, this is a product for you!

4.0 out of 5 stars The spray can be very effective but be sure to shop for price, January 7, 2012

This was very useful for my cat who was marking. I had to use an enzymatic, anti-bacterial cleaning product especially for pet urine along with this, however.

THIS PARTICULAR VENDOR CHARGES APPROXIMATELY THE SAME AMOUNT FOR one 75 ml bottle as another charges for three, however.

We've used the diffuser for the past 18 months, but occasionally run out of refills. The spray helps for those in between times. We didn't realize that moving would have such a negative impact on our 10 year old cat. Changes in routine continue to upset her. Feliway is the only product that has helped calm her. She no longer hides or marks in the house as long as we keep using the diffusers and/or spray. It's been a great product for us.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't live without it, September 12, 2011

This review is from: ORM-D Feliway Behavior Modifier, 75 ml Spray (Misc.)
Due to an errant peeing and aggression problem in my multi-cat household (ten), I turned to Feliway products (both spray and diffuser) - I use them religiously according to the directions, and the problems have essentially been erased. It wasn't immediate, but after a couple of months the peeing has stopped and the sneak attacks are few and far between. I also use the sprays to transport cats to the vet, and it has been wonderful. I have found them snoozing in the carrier rather than clawing to get out. May not work for every situation, and it is fairly costly in the beginning with multiple sprays per day, but worth every penny spent in my opinion. Now down to spraying in a couple of spots once every day or two, and problem still under control. I have much happier cats and lots less cleaning!
