I use these in my '90 325i and the OSRAM Silverstar makes ALL The difference in the world. Don't trust the crappy sylvanis silverstars it is NOT the same product. Those have a blue "silvering" technique that actually makes you lose a significant portion of your on-road-lighting.

I used these bulbs on a Mazda6. The bulbs are visibly brighter than OEM and light up the road well. I'm not sure how long they will last, but hopefully they will not burn out too quickly. On paper they seem like they are a good balance between brightness and longevity, given that they have to conform to stock wattage.

Something to note about bulbs: avoid tinted bulbs (blue glass) -- that just makes them dimmer and blue spectrum light is tougher on the eyes. Also, getting more brightness out of a 55W bulb can result in reduced bulb life. I am giving these bulbs 5 stars because they are bright enough to really increase night visibility and road safety, but also have a reputation for decent service life.
