Once the vehicle's OBD II system is ready, repair work is confirmed. If a state emission inspection is required, a retest can then be performed. The compact tool works on 1996 and newer OBD II and CAN compliant vehicles. The easy to install, no set up required and connects easily into the vehicle's OBD II connector and is able to display status in 15 seconds. Features: bright color coded LED's provide readiness status, green LED vehicle is ready, built in speaker provides audible tone every 5 minutes when vehicle becomes ready, Ready Scan is powered from the vehicle no batteries required and rugged poly carbonate housing has molded grips.

This tool is a real time saver. A drive cycle is required to make the OBD monitors set. This used to take me on a long ride and often the monitors still were not ready. After receiving our unit I went on the first ride and it performed as advertised. We love this unit. Saves a lot of time and angst trying to get the vehicle ready for inspection of the emmision system. Amazon's price was the best, delivery was fast. We could not be any happier
