Perfect Set for the DIY Mechanic
Purchased this set after much debate over the KD and Lisle sets which costs around the same amount, give a take a couple of dollars. I'm quite happy with my decision, the set is well made and simple, yet includes everything I've needed to service my two GM trucks so far. Half of the kit worked
Bought the kit to work on an older model GMC Pickup. The pulley removal tool worked fine. The installation tool failed before the pulley was fully replaced. The 3/8-16 draw bolt fatigued and eventually broke with more than a quarter inch to go before the pulley was properly installed. Bought the kit to work on an older model GMC Pickup. The pulley removal tool worked fine. The installation tool failed before the pulley was fully replaced. The 3/8-16 draw bolt fatigued and eventually broke with more than a quarter inch to go before the pulley was properly installed. Since it is a special bolt, there are no readily available replacements. I had to find a tool similar to the OTC 7005 locally in order to complete the installation. The OTC 7005 has a much larger draw bolt which will probably survive multiple uses.If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't buy the OTC 4530 kit but instead I would buy a separate removal tool and the OTC 7005 installation tool.

I'm quite happy with my decision, the set is well made and simple, yet includes everything I've needed to service my two GM trucks so far. While I've only used it a couple of times so far, I expect this set to last a long time. The only part of the set that feels cheap is the case, but there is really no surprise there, that is to be expected at this price point, at least it has a case. While it doesn't come with instructions there is a sticker under the top foam that gives thread and usage information for the pieces. The only disappointment is that it not made in the USA but rather Taiwan, but that's sadly not surprising anymore, even some of my more recent Craftsman purchases say made in China on them.
