Just the thing for overhead cam engines,

I bought this tool to service the valves on my classic Triumph overhead cam engines, namely the TR7, Stag and Dolomite Sprint. An OHC engine needs a tool that will reach well down into the tappet bore to compress the valve springs. This tool worked beautifully, and it would work just as well on pushrod engines also. Very sturdily made. This is the only valve spring compressor I'll need in the future.

I bought this spring compressor to allow me to remove the recessed valves on a 89 Volvo engine I was rebuilding. The tool is a heavy duty type that will last for years to come. I am really happy with this tool, and recommend it to all.

Just got this today. Took 1 min to set it up for a sti head. Took 30sec to get the valve out. Easy to use. Seems really sturdy. I'll update when I install my 82lb supertech dual valvsprings. Seems like its easily up to the task though. Would recommend to anyone.

Works Great, as described in the hype.,

The compressors works like a charm (on my 2.4 L 4 cyl neon). I would like to have seen better, clearer directions, but after a few minutes of playing with it, it wasn't hard to work it out. The company I bought it from shipped it fast and well packaged. I would do it all over again if I had to.

worked perfect, couldnt ask for more. I was able to get the valve job done without any issues, If you need to change out valve stem seals this thing works great. I also suggest getting a pair of valve stem seal pliars, they have a cupped shape on the end to easily grab those seals and pull em off.

Best I've ever used,

After trying three different devices to compress the springs on a small Yamaha single cylinder motorcycle head, I bought the OTC 4572. I was a bit apprehensive that it would be too big, but when it arrived it did the job in five minutes. Huge range of adjustment made the large overall size not a problem, but the best feature is that it acts exactly in line with the valve and has enough reach to get into the narrow valve chambers of the Yamaha head. Easy access to the collets when the spring is compressed also helped make the job an easy no-brainer. The over-center lever just holds the tool in place on the valve head and spring retainer. Actual compression comes from tightening the lower screw, so the spring is compressed gently with no danger of the compressor jumping off and scattering the collets around the shop, never to be seen again. It would work as well on large car or truck cylinder heads as it did on my little motorcycle engine. The OTC 4572 is doubtless the best valve spring compressor I've ever used
