Very useful on different applications. I have used it to hold camshaft sprockets. It's good up to about 100 foot pounds.

I recently rebuilt the engine to my 88' Supra, and was in need of a tool to hold many different items still whilst tightening them.

Ordered this in hopes it would work, and by golly, this tool is absolutely wonderful. Well made, extremely useful attachment pieces included, and comes with a neat little case.

I used this to:
remove and tighten cam sprockets
remove and tighten oil pump sprocket/pulley
tighten harmonic balancer (aka crank pulley - 220 ft/lbs if I recall correctly)
remove and tighten flywheel (by attaching this tool to the harmonic balancer, the flywheel was easily removed)

Just a little tip, but to easily remove a harmonic balancer don't use the included attachments for this tool. Instead, simply BOLT this tool to the balancer (with HIGH QUALITY bolts-I actually used bolts from my old pressure plate/flywheel assembly) Keep in mind, this only applies if your balancer has bolt holes on it to aid in removal, which mine does.

Anyway, just a quick tip for anyone interested.

Overall very pleased with the tool, I can't imagine a better 50 dollar investment. The tool's still going strong, no breakage, even after having tightened that balancer two or three times now (had to remove it a second time recently).

So, this tool CAN stand 200+ foot pounds, when it is bolted on, and the little included pieces are not used-as they just simply slide out under intense (100+ ft/lbs) pressure.

Solidly built and good quality tool.Bought this to aid in loosening the extremely tight crankshaft bolt on a 93 Toyota Corolla as i do not have access to an air wrench.Held the pulley solid with abit of extra leverage so all in all worked a treat.

Let me first say that this is far better than using a screwdriver wedged into the cam shaft to hold it from spinning. The holder itself is a very nice and thick metal, enouph to hold any Cam shaft I have ever seen. The only little gripe with it is you have to switch the holding pins around from tightning or loosning of the Cam shaft bolt. There really is no way around that due to the design of the holder. It works like a pair of channel lock pliers.

The tool arrived the day after I ordered it (VERY well packed, although the box it came in was 4 times larger than necessary,). The tool is a little over 20" inches long so it will afford some good leverage when removing crank pulleys for timing belt jobs. It's made out of thick, 1/4" steel. The case it comes in is very nice as well. The only downside is it's made in Taiwan, for the high price tag it could have easily been made in the USA.

Bought it to remove crankshaft pulley for Timing Belt change and it worked like a charm
