Not impressed. Stripped out threads on second ujoint i used tool on. Was using an electric 1/2" drive impact. Can only imagine what a 1" impact would do. Guess u could say i got "screwed" !! Not laughing. Dont buy if u plan on using tool as intended.

When used properly this thing is great. Just used one to break down a 30yr old driveline on an old Ford L9000.

As with all pullers it should be used in conjunction with judicious heating when the puller isn't able to force the part free on its own. These things aren't meant to act like a hydraulic press, sometimes they need help. The alternative is ruining the tool. Remove a stubborn bearing cap with some heat from a rosebud applied to the yoke for a few seconds, and you're home free. Listen for that "pop" as the rust bond breaks. Keep a fire extinguisher handy should you ignite the oil and crud on the parts.

I don't use an impact wrench until the part is free. I will use the impact to push the part out once it's ready to freely come out. Again, no sense in ruining good tools. While a new u joint might break free with an impact tool, I don't think it's a good idea to use one on a frozen part.
