Worked perfectly, for its' intended purpose!
However, don't try to use the TDC peg to hold the crank from turning while loosening the crank-pulley nut. The peg will bend and you now have an eight hour job getting into the block to straighten it so you can screw it back out. But if you do, the peg is soft and will straighten quite nicely once you get it out of the block, and you can reuse it for its' intended purpose.
The camshaft bar also works perfectly! Now that I have everything back together I am going to use the bar for a paperweight. The TDC peg I will probably stick in my toolbox and use as a vacuum hose plug, sometime.

The tools work just as they are intended to do and it makes the changing of the timing belt an easy job. The cost of the tools is well worth it. I purchased the tool set on Amazon.

Yes, you need it and yes you can make it yourself but for piece of mind buy it... no problem using it!
You are still saving a ton of money by doing it yourself.

This Tool works exactly like it is supposed to. The only thing is you have to cut the knurled knob down to about an 1/8th in long so you don't have to remove catalytic converter. Timing peg hole is behind it.

works, they know you need it and you'll pay for it. Even though it's only a flat bar and bolt. Replicated both of them for about 5 bucks.
