It's not Snap-On quality, but it's not junk...and it worked perfectly for me. I used it to pull the front bearing hub assemblies off of my 2003 Explorer. The bridge part of the tool is substantial and thick, and the pin is obviously high-grade steel. After use, there was none of the obvious damage you would see on a low-grade pin.

I searched around, and this was the best price I could find on a decent version of this tool. I'm quite satisfied with it, and would recommend it.

This is an excellent hub puller. I've worked as a mechanic for decades and I can tell you, this puller rivals the quality of units costing 3x as much. It's also much gentler than beating on a hub with a hammer. Many people don't realize it, but when you beat on a modern hub, you risk damaging the wheel bearings. Hub pullers are the way to go.

The puller is great. I was going to purchase this from Matco but after some research found out OTC makes many products for Matco but just sold under a different name! I don't use it much but when i have used it it works very well. I gave it four stars because the title says puller and installer, but you cant install with this tools. Unless its sold separately but this is only the puller.

I have a Kia Sephia that had a CV joint go bad. It overheated and caused the axle to seize in the hub. I tried everything from penetrating lubricants, beating on it with a hammer, using an air chisel, etc. Couldn't get it out. Finally I decided to try this.

A couple long, narrow lug nuts, and about 10 minutes of using my impact wrench (with plenty of lube on the screw threads!), and the axle gave way and finally popped free. It did in 10 minutes what I had spent 3 days trying to do. Completely worth the money. It looks cheap, but it's deceivingly solid and well-built.

Couple of quick notes:
* There isn't enough room for big acorn-style lug nuts, go to your auto supply store and get a couple of the kind meant for 'tuner' style wheels, these usually have a long shank with the hex near the top. This will give you plenty of room when attaching it to your hub, and they are only a couple bucks apiece. Even if you break them, still worth it.
* Make sure you lube up the threads on any kind of forcing screw before you use it, this one included. It will REALLY extend the life of the tool.

This hub puller performed well on the 97 Pontiac Grand Prix.
It pulled the hub assembly off the axle with ease.

My hub was frozen on the spline shaft. PB Blaster, a crowbar bracing the hub against the floor so it wouldn't turn, a small sledge hammer and a big breaker bar got the job done. I thought for sure the threads gave out on the puller when the hub finally broke free. Glad I was wrong!

Received puller in the time promised by Amazon. I used plenty of anti-seize on the puller threads before using and sprayed Gibbs rust dissolver on the outer spline and let sit for 24 hrs. My torque wrench was reading about 50 ft pounds when the rusted hub broke loose from the halfshaft on my 2002 Mitsubishi Diamante. This tool worked better than expected and looks heavy duty which is why I gave this tool a 5 star rating.

The perfect tool for those rusted on front hubs. I ended up borrowing the same device from AutoZone on their loaner tool program, so if you have one of these close by, you might want to check that out before purchasing.
