I just received the over-door hanger today, and am writing this review for those who are unsure whether or not it will fit their door. The product dimensions on the label are 17.5"W x 2.25"D x 10"H.

My door is 1.5" thick, and the hanger fits it perfectly with zero wiggle room.

It is much heavier & more sturdy than I expected for the price. However, it arrived with quite a few rust marks and nicks on the hooks that negatively affect the aesthetics of the product. The blemishes aren't a huge problem for me, since my coats and bags will be covering them, but still, the damage was clearly done before shipping.

I will update this post in a few months with a performance review.



**Edit 8/30/2011- Performance Review (much longer than a few months, I know):

I have had this product hanging over my door since June 2010. Even with heavy coats, bags, belts and other things hanging from it year round, it is still strong, sturdy, and perfectly intact. It remains firmly in place with no wiggling or rattling when the door is opened or shut. And aesthetically, it is still shiny and pleasant-looking with no rust or blemishes (aside from the original marks that were on it when it first arrived). I hope this item will be back in stock soon so I can purchase a few more for my new apartment.

I just received mine today and am very pleased with it. It is much nicer than I expected. It is attractive and well made. It is very strong and sturdy and can hold a good amount of weight. It does not interfere with closing the door. Mine was perfect, it did not have any blemishes or damage like a couple of other reviewers had. A good feature is that the hooks are not all in a line like other items of this type. Besides looking good, it is more functional for me that way. I would recommend this to anyone with a regular size door. If your door is more than 1.5" thick this will not work for you.

After I got the first one home I went back and bought 2 more. I was really pleased with how sturdy they are considering the low price. The design is fun and it helps the coats hang neatly with less of a cluttered look.

What a find! Sturdy, well made and attractive! The 6 hooks are handy, and the design whimsical, but efficient. Hangs easily on the door and won't hang up the closing of the door. I liked it so much I have several!

This is a great over the door hanger, however be careful of the thickness of your doors since it's not wide enough for ALL doors. I wish I had measured the thickness first before buying it. Another thing, check first to be sure the seller list the dimensions since it's meant more for thin doors. Too late to return the 3 I bought so I'll be giving them away

This is great for over our shower door to hang towels and robes on! Great quality and looks nice too!

Hard to get too excited about an over the door hanger. It works. I think it would be slightly better if it hung a little lower. ie the over the door hooks were longer.

The hanger didn't fix on my door, other than that it is great. Well made and built to last. I recommend this one.

Use this behind our bathroom doors (I bought 2 of these) and they are great. Study, fit well and looks pretty too. Reasonably priced too.

I bought this for $10 with free shipping off Amazon. At that price (or even above that price) it's hard to imagine finding anything much nicer. It serves its purpose and looks great. I have two heavy backpacks hanging from it as well as several jackets, so you know it's sturdy.
