This thing is really, really small. Matchbox car-sized, and that makes for sort of frustrating assembly as you mess with those little bitty parts. It also makes for a less impressive demonstration for the class. Works as advertised, I can't deny that. What they could do, if they want to avoid disapointing folks, is put a coin in the picture for an idea of the size of this little thing.

I dissagree with the oter review i bought this and it has taken a beating.The only thing thats bad is that the solar plate will come off the sticky tape but its still a great toy i am going to get more.

Great car and less fragile than some other solar cars, but had troubles with the wiring in it. Overall, great price, educational value, and fun.

Nice toy. Assembled it with my 5 yo son. I think it should be priced cheaper after seeing/using it.

never did get it to work, the wires for the solar cell fell off before it was even put together. have not gotten around to soldering the wires back on to see if it really works. also much smaller than expected, this thing is about the size of your thumb. when i get around to fixing it will update the review.

My 8 year old son had no problems figuring out how to put this car together, but he did request help with the part that asks you to use a hammer to put the wheels on. He was despondent that it did not work right away. Did not work after putting it int he windowsill. Did not work at all. We've had it for a week, and have yet to see the wheels turn at all. It is winter in New England, but the skies are clear, so we sort of expected something, but got nothing. It is highly unlikely this car will work indoors for his science project, but he will be able to show kids what the solar cells look like, and discuss the problems of solar powered vehicles (cost, reliability, weight, etc).

toy was a lot smaller than I thought, put it together with 8yr old grandson fell apart in 2 days not really worth the money in my opinon. Might be OK for grown-up who doesn't plan on playing with it
