If you love mangos, this is the tool you need. No more frustrating pit location/ extraction trials. It does leave some flesh on the pit, but that's easy to eat off, too. Very impressed with the design, durability, and ease of use. This is one of the best gadgets, ever!

Functional mango splitter/cutter with sharp stainless steel blades. Works easily and quickly to cut a mango away from the center stone...a great investment if you love Mangos and enjoy them often!

Well, like most people who bought this, I love mango and hate to peel them. Normally I need a knife, a sheet of paper towel and a little patience. With this thing I need my husband to push it through to the bottom. Basically, the design is great, but the blades are worthless. You just can't cut through the mango unless you put 200 lbs to bear on top of the splitter--not what I had in mind.

I am a raw vegan who adores mango but didn't eat them very often because of the time it took to prep them. It's not that I'm lazy either. I have a disability which makes many kitchen tasks difficult, if not impossible. I was skeptical about this Oxo Steel Mango Splitter but I gave it a try and I was thrilled with the results!

I live in Florida and mangoes are plentiful. I'm eating a ton of them now that I can split them so easily. The Oxo Steel Mango Splitter is perfectly efficient and does its job easily. The easy grip is very comfortable. It just took me a little practice to perfect the technique.

Oxo Steel Mango Splitter is well made, quality stainless steel, and very, very sharp. Be careful when cleaning it. I'm quite clumsy with my disability and I did cut myself once. I pay more attention now when washing it by hand.

I have nothing negative to say about this wonderful kitchen tool and highly recommend it to all mango lovers.

It broke on second use. It had bad spot welds and poor design. Look elseware

I love mangos and this looked like the perfect kitchen gadget to help slice them. Boy, was I wrong! I took a ripe mango and followed the directions with much anticipation and began to slice the mango. I got about half way down the mango when the inner slicer separated from the handles and broke. The handles immediately fell to the bottom of the mango, leaving the slicer stuck in the mango half way. After my first frustrating attempt with now a broken mango slicer, I went to You Tube and found a video by a chef on how to slice a mango using a good old fashion kitchen knife. Save yourself the expense and hassle of returning (although Amazon does make returns super easy) and just log on to You Tube!

Product seems well made. I like the steel aspect. It is hefty in the hand.

I cut one mango with it and love it.

it works well if you use it for the type of apple mango. (greenish red) I bought some of the mangoes that were smaller (Philippines), they are not really a good fit because the size is much smaller and the pit is much thinner. Since there is no adjustable size with this tool. It is not very versatile. It will be nice if the blade can either be adjustable or interchangeable with size. I also own a pineapple slicer which comes with 3 sizes. It was very handy since I can also get the max out of the pineapple regardless of the size.

Most mango pits I've encountered are bigger than the opening in this device, so it won't fit over them and, therefore, will not work. I wish I hadn't bought it.

I like mangos but hate to spend all the time to cut them up, what a mess.

This is by far one of the best things I have ever bought.

Now I can eat them within moments instead of half an hour of cutting and clean up.
