I used to have a very cheap tea strainer and the problem with it was that the handle was heavier than the bowl so I had to use one hand to keep it in place while I poured with the other hand. This one is balanced so it does not tip.

great quality, great size for tea and so, good handle,not plastic. seems to last forever.can sit on the cup without holding it. I love it.

If your kitchen lacks a small strainer... you can't do better than have one of these! Perfect for straining out lemon pips, or anything else that calls for a tablespoon of something or other, strained!
This strainer is extremely well built and will last for years and years. It is an excellent buy. A perfect wedding present!!

This is a nice strainer--a gift for my daughter and she reports it is very satisfactory. It is a nice fine gauge and appears sturdy.

It's useful for small jobs. The strainer is very fine, so it's difficult to strain thicker liquids. It's well-made, just not useful in all situations. Overall though, it's useful if you need a small strainer. It holds up well in the dishwasher!

This is very nice for squeezing lemon lime or even tea bag. It is also very well made.

I purchased this to use as a second layer of straining loose tea, as smaller teas such as Rooibos tend to be very fine. Works as expected

I love this little strainer. I bought it to put on top of a small glass while I squeeze a lemon or orange. It sits atop the glass and doesn't tip over. Works for me.

When I buy hand kitchen utensils, I try to buy either OXO or Zyliss. They have slightly different product ranges and design styles, but their attention to quality and usability is generally superb. The strainer is no exception. I'm not a dedicated cook and require nothing fancy in the way of utensils for single-person cooking. However, I found that I was using a collander to strains small amounts of diced tomatoes and garbanzos for a salad. I thought a good strainer would make my liet easier. It has. This particular strainer uses a fine mesh screen, so it will strain out liquid but not food fragments. This may or not be a plus for you, but it's a plus for me. Otherwise, it is very easy to use, and the manufacturing quality is excellent. I hope this helps,

One major problem with any strainer of this nature is reaction with some foods. This is the second item I purchase from OXO that is stainless Steel. Other strainers tend to rust if not cleaned immediately. I never have to worry about that with the OXO Good Grips Mini Strainer or any chemical reaction with the food.
