5.0 out of 5 stars Useful item that you don't think about buying
Pan and brush are of excellent quality. It is very nice how the brush fits snuggly into the pan's handle making storage very clean. Brush is excellent at sweeping dust without getting caught in the bristles.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing - misshapen
I am usually a big fan of OXO products. Ordered this pan, and when I used it the first time, I realized that half of the dirt goes underneath the dust pan. Turns out the front lip on mine is warped and doesn't completely touch the floor. Kinda defeats the purpose of a dustpan. The brush seems nice. Too bad.

5.0 out of 5 stars Useful and tough. Made a believer out of me!, January 9, 2006

I broke my old dust bin scooping snow off my car in a wet easter storm. yes, snow! It was a regular, nothing special dust bin. I got this as a replacement, and then bought another one for my snow issues. It lays flat and I've never had to fight with it to sweep the dust into the bin. It just works the first time, every time. It is strong, easy to hold, easy to store and yes... it shovels snow off car hoods like nobody's business!

If you are reading this it's probably because you've realized that most dustpans are annoyingly BAD and you're hoping to find a better one. This dustpan overcomes my cheif complaints: it doesn't have a rubber strip to warp and become difficult to use and it actually allows you to sweep everything off the floor and into the dustpan. So simple in its perfection. The brush is also quite nice and storage is easy. This little bit of improvement to your day is definitely worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars clean sweep!, December 28, 2008
This review is from: OXO Good Grips Dust Pan and Brush, Silver (Kitchen)
I was very pleased with this product and bought another one as a gift. The bristles are long and soft and do a good job of sweeping. The edge of the pan is angled and you don't get that line of dust left behind like some other products. Brush fits nicely into pan for storage but you need a couple inches of clearance to hang it due to the curve of the pan bottom. A peel and stick hook works.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best dustpan around, May 26, 2008
This review is from: OXO Good Grips Dust Pan and Brush, Silver (Kitchen)
OXO International 33981 Dust Pan with Brush I have had this for years sitting under the sink in my small kitchen. It is perfect for the small spills or the bigger sweep-ups with a broom. The edge is flush with the floor so all gets swept up. The brush nestles securely in the groove of the pan's handle. The teeth on each side of the pan clean the bristles of brush and broom (a boon for a cat owner.) There is the great Oxo handle on the brush and it cleans easily, so it sill looks great.

1.0 out of 5 stars OXO Good Grips Dust Pan and Brush, Silver, does not work, June 24, 2011

There must be considerable variation in this product. Mine arrived with a definite wave appearance to front of dust pan, making it impossible to place on a flat surface to make effective contact with that surface. Therefore, one can not sweep dust into pan without a good portion of the dust going under the pan. I would return it except for the return postage of $ 5.99. Unfortunately, the dust pan is a worthless piece of junk. I can use the brush with other dust pans that are more functional.

1.0 out of 5 stars bristles too soft, July 31, 2010

The bristles of the broom are much too soft. They don't correspond with the weight and heavy duty construction. They flex too easily making it very difficult to use. Dustpan OK.

I'd been looking everywhere for a nesting dustpan and brush set. I bought this one and it's better than described. The bristles of the brush are very fine and pickup even the finest dust. Easy nesting and nice color.

most dustpans I've had always have trouble picking up every last bit of dust..

either they are too stiff, and often too thick at the lip, so they don't 'seal' well to the floor, or they are too thin and flimsy and pressing down (to make it 'seal') causes the lip to distort in some way.

this one seems to work excellently - i've only had it a short time, but assuming it doesn't every warp I'm very satisfied.
