Product Description

The oxo good grips folding clip dryer is a convenient way to air dry items that cannot be put in the dryer, such as underwear and lingerie. It's also strong enough to hang and dry heavier items such as jeans. The lightweight dryer uses three hooks to mount easily on a shower curtain rod or a rod in the laundry room. It features 14 clips with non-slip grips. The clips are attached directly to the rust proof aluminum rail. This provides easy access to the clip grips for fast opening and loading, and ensures the clips will not get tangled in storage. The dryer folds in half and snaps closed for compact storage and the folded dryer can be hung conveniently in a closet. This folding feature also allows the dryer to hang on curved or corner shower rods. The oxo good grips folding clip dryer is an ideal way to protect delicates, but is also great for reducing energy usage, cutting utility bill costs and extending the life of garments.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I'm an Ol' Farm Gal and grew up with air-dried laundry, sun-kissed and crisp as a cracker when it came in off the line. Now, 59 years later, I still indulge myself by "hanging out to dry" anything I can, 24/7...365 days of the year (when possible). For decades I owned those classic "spinning wheels" that look like ox cart wheels. Even when retail stores stopped carrying them, I found them on amazon and have been ordering them ever since. Although the plastic wheels are effective and sure do the trick, because they ARE plastic, they break after a hard season's worth of use and also can't hold onto excessively heavy items such as a wool jumper, or the arms bend and break. I own up to all failures on the plastic wheels since I push the limit on their use and also their weight load.

So, I was very intrigued when I had the blessing to try via the Vine Program, this OXO Good Grips Folding Clip Dryer. Immediately upon opening up the box and feeling the hefty weight of it, I was impressed. Then, looking at the MONSTER SIZED clips and the three sturdy hangers, I was even more impressed! Having done a load of handwash no sooner than 30 minutes before the package arrived, I immediately transfered my heaviest items to the dryer, hanging it right on my laundry line. It held water-logged acrylic sweat pants and a jacket with ease! Didn't flip or tip off of the laundry line!

Now, I had already placed the box into the recycle bin, when I noticed all the "Variations on a Theme" options that were pictured on the side, showing how else you can use this sly dryer...so PLEASE!, don't do what I did and pitch the box without looking at all the options for use!

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
After using this OXO Good Grips folding clip dryer, I still prefer my regular standard plastic hangers with clips on them for hanging pants, hats, and delicates to dry. Regular hangers with clips on them don't take up nearly as much room on the clothes rod as this OXO folding clip dryer does. For bras and spaghetti strap camisoles, I have hangers with little spaces on the "shoulders" for the straps to hang from.

This OXO Good Grips clip dryer doesn't have that good of a grip, either. A wet pair of my hubby's jeans slipped out of the clips (this doesn't happen with my regular hangers with clips). This folding clip dryer is for lightweight items only, and it takes up too much room on the clothes rod. It's an okay item, but it's best used folded (19" wide, instead of 38" wide) for drying a lot of underwear or socks.

Very handy for those quick hand wash jobs in the sink when not enough for a full laundry day. Folds up and hangs down so it hardly takes up any space at the end of the shower rod. My only complaint is that the clips are not very grabby...it's ok for socks, dainties and the like but the clips simply won't hold onto a wet pair of permanent press slacks. It is how ever useful for lighter items. So good but a little disappointed.

Living in the American Southwest with its brutal summer sun, a hat is essential apparel. I own 10 hats and 2 ball caps. They are often soaked in sweat and I wash them frequently - by hand. But I can only wash one at a time and hang it on the showerhead to dry. There is nowhere else in my house to air-dry them. This OXO Good Grips Folding Clip Dryer is the answer. I can dry up to six hats by hanging this OXO dryer on the handle bar of my shower door. It is made of two lightweight aluminum rails hinged together, each measuring 19" long. There are seven spring-loaded plastic clips on each rail and three chrome-plated 7-inch metal hooks. The user can fold the rails and hang them on two hooks or stretch them out on all three hooks. This air-dryer is designed for lightweight garments like hats, socks, underwears, handkerchiefs, etc. - things a traveler would hand-wash and air-dry in his/her hotel room at night and wears during the day. It is light and unobtrusive enough to carry in the user's luggage. This OXO air-dryer is a winner.

We recently had a laundry center built by expanding a roomy upstairs closet. However, laundry space is now at a premium--the washer and dryer used to be in our large basement, where there was plenty of space for drying racks, clothes baskets, and laundry products. Since there would now be comparatively less room, I wanted to put some thought into how to use the space best. One concern I had was that we might wind up hanging things that can't be dried all over the 2nd floor, or we'd wind up setting up racks in my study where the laundry closet is. I didn't quite know the solution, so I browsed around looking at products designed for the laundry area.

Fortunately, I saw this clip dryer by OXO, and saw that it needs to be mounted on a rod. I showed this picture to our contractor, and he installed a rod from one end of the 9-foot closet to the other, up quite high and just in front of the appliances. I hung the folding clip dryer on the rod, and have used it every day, ever since, for the many small and medium-sized items that can't be dried. Since they can't be hung, for sweaters, I bought the OXO sweater dryer, which sits on a high shelf quite a bit above the washer and dryer (fortunately I'm tall).

I like that the clip dryer slides, as I can pin up some clothes and push it over and out of the way of the washer and dryer (there is extra space at the end of the closet). It also seems study, although I haven't used it for heavy items. The clips hold the items securely and when the laundry is dry, it's also pretty easy to unclip them (which is welcome since I have arthritis in my hands). Definitely two thumbs up.
