Clean up was easy.

You just stick in a clove all covered in its layers of papery skin, roll, and Voila, out comes a perfectly peeled clove of garlic!

I love garlic, peeling a lot of garlic gets kind of sticky.

I couldn't believe it. It said the garlic would fall out peeled and the peels would stay inside...and it did! I put 2 relatively large cloves in the tube, rolled it a bit looked at it and it looked like a mess in there - I tipped it up and out dropped the two completely peeled cloves and the peel stayed inside! How about that! I love garlic, peeling a lot of garlic gets kind of sticky. This is going to be awesome. The silicone did not want to release all the peel when rinsed - so I used my spray head for a sec and they all came out. I'm so happy! Woo hoo!

it was troublesome to start with but once you get the hang of it,it eases the chore of peeling.to get the best out of this peeler: 1.make sure both peeler n garlic are dry. 2. insert same size garlics n only 2 at a time. 3. don't press too hard or u'll end up squeezing the juice out n wet the peeler. 4. found out garlics left out of fridge for a week peel easier

I ran across this in a retail store. Being an Oxo fan I bought one. It is so simple I can't believe I never heard of it before. You can peel 3 or 4 cloves in about 2 seconds (I'm not exagerating). I love garlic, but it appears that I'll be using it even more. I also bought the Oxo garlic press.

When I first used this item I could not believe it. It works great. I wonder how many people using this peeler wish they could have thought up this thing. No broken nails trying to peel clove after clove; no smell on your fingers; and cloves are peeled quickly and easily.

I recently received this and tried it following the directions that came with it. I discovered that this garlic peeler is a bit of a challenge, especially if the garlic clove is larger than expected. I had some struggle getting the garlic clove in and then getting it out. Rinsing it out took longer than I expected in trying to get the "paper" out as it stayed stuck inside. From the look of things, I will have to continue practicing with it. One other thing to consider...if you have any chronic difficulty with your hands, i.e. tendinitis, arthritis, or any condition causing pain in your hands, using this product can be complicated.

Actually I like this product, but it only works for the first few garlic cloves. You can peel 1-3 garlic cloves pretty well at first. When the garlic peel starts to stick and accumulate inside the peeler, it doesn't work well anymore. You need to clean it, wash it and dry it. It is really good for those who just need one or two garlic cloves, but not good for those who want a lot.

I have always hated peeling garlic, but no more! Now I have to stop myself from peeling more garlic than I need. It is so fun to do. I have found that it does not work well on fresh garlic from the farmer's market. The outer peel still retains too much moisture to come off easily. But for the other nine months of the year when I have to use supermarket garlic, this item will be used almost every day in my kitchen. Pop the garlic in, roll it around a few times, and after removing the clove simply rinse the dried peel out. Love it! Gets my vote for best kitchen gadget I have bought this year.

How in the world does this thing work? You put garlic in the middle of bendy plastic tube and roll it around. Voila, presto changeo - No more garlic skin! As a known lover of McCormick Garlic Powder, 5.37-Ounce Units (Pack of 6 ), fresh garlic is even better (for some things, not for pizza application). Garlic 4 days! It really does work quite well and peeling garlic is a bigger pain than sleeping on a pull-out couch. Solved. My one minor complaint would be, its really just a plastic tube, I mean it doesn't really look like its from the Jetsons.

Mrs. Philyodaddy didn't really seem to love this as much as I did. Not sure why, probably because she is an older woman who is unable to keep up with these fast-moving times. Sorry, Mrs. Philyodaddy, just dropping the truth.

Pro-Tip- philyodaddy is a very strong man, so when trying at first, I applied a little too much pressure when rolling and it didn't work as well. Lay off the Muscle Milk (tm).

Last note- One of the alleged benefits is "Hands stay free of smells of garlic" - don't bring that weak sauce OXO. Garlic is delicious and your hands should smell if you are cooking. Otherwise, you aren't doing it right. It is known.
