The Good Grips line features durable, nonslip flexible handles on every product. Ergonomically designed to fit the palm comfortably and softly, the pressure-absorbing processed rubber handle puts less tension on the hands, while providing an outstanding grip. Made from the same material dishwasher gaskets are constructed of, the handles are slip-proof, wet or dry, as well as dishwasher-safe. Good Grips products are moderately priced and have won the Tylenol/Arthritis Foundation Design Award. --Laurie Notaro

GOOD HANDLE, LOUSY BLADE,
By jerry i h (Berkeley, CA USA) - See all my reviews The blade metal itself is a different matter, since Oxo has a complete line of kitchen knives with this same metal. Sadly, it is ordinary, cheap, stainless steel. So, the cutting edge does not get that sharp on my Chef's Choice, and the blade gets dull rather fast. On the other hand, it is cheaper than a regular kitchen knife. However, I would spend a few extra dollars and get the higher quality kitchen knives that Oxo makes (I think they call that line "professional"). The real attraction of this knife is the sure-grip, rubber handle. No matter how oily your hands get with olive oil or chicken fat, you always get a good, non-slippery grip on the handle. I am quite impressed with this handle, and certainly do plan to get this company's higher quality kitchen knives: I expect it to become my favorite knife.
