OK, yes, it does look nice sitting on the counter. The pump works well and smoothly - no drips.

However (here we go), unless you are gentle with it, it will really shoot the soap out at high velocity. Because of the shortness of the spout, it is almost impossible to get soap out of this thing without getting soap on the dispenser itself. Go back and take a look at the picture again. This thing seems designed to squirt soap onto itself.

Also, it's a bit wobbly. (Looking at the picture again) You can see that the bottle flares out in the middle and then narrows towards the bottom. This is a recipe for a wobbly container.

I had high hopes when I bought this, but I'm unhappy and looking for another solution.

After trying 3 or 4 other products with pumps that could not handle the viscosity of dish soap and would clog the pump, I finally found this one. It is great it does not clog. It give just the right amount of soap in one or two pumps. Looks nice in my kitchen and matches my appliances and stainless accents. Would highly recommend!!

edit, after less than a year the spring broke in the pump rendering it useless. However Oxo stands by their product. I call their consumer hotline looking to replace the part and they sent me a whole new unit free, didn't even charge for shipping.

This is a pretty good soap dispenser compared to others I have tried. It works fine and looks nice - I have had it for a year now. My only complaint is I have to sometimes wipe the outside because rust shows up on it.

I love my 2 new stainless steel soap dispensers from OXO. I have one for soap and one for lotion. You can see which is which on the bottom 1/4 of the container. They're different and funky and I've never seen them in a store. Very fun addition to our kitchen!

I was hesitant after reading the reviews, but decided to try it out. Glad I did... have had for several months... no problems. No leaks, no dribbling, no rusting, no soap velocity issues, not slippery, not wobbly, not hard to clean, not designed funny, and has not broken! Looks good and dispenses soap. Perfect.

Follow-up: Alas, this product did not hold-up after all. Experienced dribbling from top and it eventually broke completely... Was not dropped... Just seemed to wear out. Lasted little over a year.

This is actually Doug's wife writing the review. My husband bought this at my request as a gift to me. I have used it for well over a year and a half now and absolutely love it. The quick-pump action saves a tremendous amount of time over tipping and squeezing half-used plastic bottles multiple times during dishwashing. The pump holds a good amount of liquid and there's no need to refill until it is almost empty. The siphon hose gets the soap down to the last 1/4 inch without airpockets or spraying soap all over. It looks good in my modern-style kitchen and the suraface wipes clean easily so it isn't covered in spots and stains. Still works just as well as the day I got it. I absolutely love it.

This is a great dispenser, with a clean design. It's also small enough for those soaps that come in small containers (250ml or close to it).

This pump is inexpensive & attractive, but if you have to get a new $15 pump every year, why not buy a sturdier more durable one for more $$? If I had known that it would start rusting after a week & break after a year, I would have just gotten a Simplehuman one from the beginning.

I had high hopes for this one but it was no better than its predecessors. After barely a month the rear pivot broke. I managed to fabricate my own repair part but that too failed after another month.

Usually have good luck with OXO products but this dispenser did not last a year.
The pump assembly broke. Looking inside the pump mechanism, it was just a matter of time due to very poor design.
Whoever designed the pump has no idea about materials science and simple design principles.

Move on, ger a simple and reliable design that looks fine, like this one InterDesign Forma Koni Soap Pump, Brushed Stainless Steel
