The board looked great when it arrived.

Here's the bad news.
You cannot see in the photo but the board has four very small pegs
on each corner. These "grips" create a thin space between the board and the counter.
Although the board does not slip, it causes the board to "bounce
back" after each chop because it is not flush with the counter.

I would not recommend the product for this reason.

I bought this board for its size. 15 by 21 inches is large enough to handle chopping or prepping almost any quantity of food I deal with when cooking for two. The channels around the edges are also nice for catching liquid when carving a bird so spillage isn't a problem.

I have noticed the fact that the surface gets marred pretty quickly with use but it is a cutting board and I don't mind. One of the other reviewers mentioned that they think this helps bacteria to grow, but I don't think that is the case. The material is non-porous and solid all the way through.

My only real problem with it is that the board is so large it doesn't easily fit in my sink and that makes it really hard to clean it. Other people may have larger sinks than me, but that is something you should consider when buying.

We usually really like OXO products, which is why we purchased a cutting board from them. The board is almost everything you'd expect an OXO product to be. It's non skid and set up so it doesn't rock while you cut. It also has a very clever channel on one of the sides to keep liquid from running onto your counter. The only complaint we had about the cutting board was that our knife cut huge grooves into the board material on the first use. Not only does this make it very difficult to scrape up food once you've cut it, but it also leaves the board susceptible to bacteria. I would have expected the board to be a lot more durable and not be so easily scratched up. Even cheap boards we have purchased lasted longer than this board did.

I really love this cutting board. It's nice and large, but it's also thin. I bought this to replace another large board, which was about the same length and width, but this one is much thinner, so it fits in the drawer under my oven.

The rubber grip adds aesthetic appeal, making it more attractive than it appears online. It also makes the board comfortable to hold and keeps it from slipping all over the counter.

One side of the board is bordered by a groove to keep juices from spilling onto the counter. The other side is completely flat.

The board is large and strong enough to lift a roast or turkey. It is also durable. I expect to enjoy it for many years to come.

UPDATE: The more I use this board, the more I like it. There are cuts in the surface, as one would expect of a cutting board, but the surface is not noticeably marred. Love it!

I really like the way that the edges stay off of the counter top. It's a simple idea, but makes moving the board, or flipping it a piece of cake. It's a good size, and while a heavy blade may leave a small impression,I think that you can expect some degree of that no matter if you are using wood, bamboo, or a synthetic. Overall, I've been very pleased.

I bought this cutting board based on the review of it in Cook's Illustrated... they rated it as "Best value for a cutting board" because it is only around $20 and it is SO durable. They were right... I love this cutting board. It's the perfect size and it DOES NOT dull my knives!

I really like this cutting board. I was initially hesitant to purchase such a large cutting board. I very much like for my cutting boards to fit into the dishwasher so I can feel they get very clean. This does NOT fit into my dishwasher. I'm actually OK with that and use it only for fruits and vegetables and things that won't cause contamination.

I like that this board is large. It allows me to cut up a variety of different items and keep them all in their own areas on the cutting board until I'm ready to use them. Green salads, pasta salads, fruit salads, all sorts of things that require you to cut up a variety of items really makes this item a great thing. You don't have to worry about fruits and veggies falling off the board.

This board is super easy to clean and does not retain even aromas like garlic and onion. It works very well with my nice knives. I don't feel like they slice into it unduly, of course there are some slices but they aren't especially deep or worrisome.

This is a great cutting board for the price.

This cutting board is big and heavy and should stand up to a lot of chopping abuse. Fits nicely in the dishwasher as well.

the large size is great for cutting and slicing, but the board is not suitable for heavy chopping. there is a small space between the bottom of the board and the counter and results in a bounce effect - best to use a heavy chopping block and not this board. the rubber feet are a good idea, but the execution is lacking as the board still slides and does not grip as well as it should.

I got this board for my meat cutting, mainly large jobs such as cutting up ribs, or preparing a full beef tenderloin. The thing is giant, I had to find a special place to display it as it wouldn't fit in any cabinets. However, I love the board! Soft enough to not damage my high end knives but holds up to a lot of chopping and slicing. The built in grips are definitely a plus, and they work well enough. I sometimes find myself needing a tiny bit of extra grip when the occasional juices get on the counter, but even with a large, juicy beef tenderloin, the juice ring on the board catches most, if not all, of the juices. All in all, awesome board and would recommend this board to anyone and everyone who need a large board for cutting meats!
