Warped after four months, other minor issues.,

This review is from: Oxo Good Grips Bamboo Cutting Board (Kitchen)
I have the 12x16 version of this board, and I really loved it up until a few days ago. Good knife feel, lots of control, non-slip, attractive, and cleans up easily. Unfortunately, after about four months of daily use, it has bowed slightly. It is no longer stable on the counter if I set it grooved-side-down. I've placed a sheet of shelf liner underneath to rectify the problem, but it sort of defeats the purpose of why I bought it in the first place.I am careful about keeping my wooden utensils and cutting boards well-oiled and away from excessive moisture, so it wasn't due to neglect. I also scarred up the silicone edge a bit, when I was slicing vegetables near one side of the board. Not a huge problem, just unsightly. Also, there's a slight edge on the silicone sides that makes it difficult to sweep food off. Just make sure to sweep off one of the long sides. I'm going to see if Oxo will exchange it for me; I'm hoping it was just a fluke.

Doesnt' hold up to sharp knives,
This review is from: OXO Good Grips 12-by-16-Inch Large Bamboo Cutting Board, Brown (Kitchen)
I got these cutting boards off of my registry and I've been using them almost daily for the last 2 months. Unfortunately, these cutting boards are meant for sporadic use with dull knives. I love to cook and I use my super sharp Global knives almost every day and with these cutting boards you can tell. There are large gouges taken out by the knife's sharp blade and even with regular oiling, the board is splintering. Don't waste your time and money on this cutting board unless your knives are akin to those that come in a 10-piece knife set which costs $100.

I bought this because it's OXO brand but it wasn't a good quality compare to other OXO products. You can get a better quality of bamboo cutting board with a lower price on the market. I wouldn't recommend friends to buy this.

Great value, and great product. The bamboo is very durable, and the rubber feet keep it from slipping on my granite countertops.

We've had the bigger one for a year and a half - its held up well. I like the groove along the edges to catch juices, and the rubber edge provides good grip. No issues with food getting caught along the edge. We haven't used any bamboo/wood oils, but do handwash always. We're ordering 2 more!
