I ordered these from the Good Grips website along with some other things (cheaper than at Amazon, which is rare). The replacement brushes only fit the more recent version of the brush. I have an older one which doesn't twist off. So I got a brand new brush with replacement parts at the same time. I had the same reaction to other folks here that the replacements didn't fit. But then I looked very closely and found that there is a small plastic nib in the slot into which the thread of the main part should slide. It was on both of the replacements, so I doubted it was a manufacturing error. I found that if I twisted really, REALLY hard (quite a few attempts), the plastic nib was flattened and the replacement parts then fitted well. They really should have instructions about that on the box, since I bet they get a LOT of returns over this. I suspect the nib causes a tighter fit once the replacement part is screwed in, so that it doesn't come unscrewed easily. Hand this task over to someone with young, strong hands!

Five stars for providing a replacement. But they lose one for not giving clear instructions (and for making my thumbs sore).

Thanks to L. Fouquette who took the time to leave a review with instructions on how to "install" the replacement brush. I was so frustrated that it would not stay on, and after reading the review I was able to fix the problem in a flash! I have always loved this palm brush and being able to order replacement refills makes it just that much better! To repeat the instructions, look for the notch on the refill and the main piece, put the brush into the notch, turn it, and then at the end of the track turn it very hard and it will click into place.

I initially thought these didn't fit the OXO Palm Brush I recently purchased from Amazon, which was frustrating as I love the product. I even filled out a return request. Then I read several customer reviews that all said the same thing - the refills don't fit... but then there was one review that said, it doesn't seem like it fits, but if you really put some muscle behind it - and turn the brush HARD it clicks into place - and it does. It does not go on as easily as the original brush that came with the device. But they will go on.. here is what the other reviewer wrote: "I had the same reaction to other folks here that the replacements didn't fit. If you have the same issue I did, and apparently just about every one else, then give it a really really hard turn and I think you will find it fits!

So at first the refill wouldn't fit. I lined up the the slanted ridges of the holder with the brush head, twisted, and nothing. Did it again, with a little bit more oomph, and again nothing. I read some reviews (I didn't when I was purchasing ... saw that this brush refill was regularly purchased with the OXO set I have) --- and read that you have to put some man power into it.

In order for it to install, line up the parts, and twist in opposite directions (with some force you normally wouldn't assume) and it fits.

I LOVED the original Palm Brush. When I found the replacement brushes I bought several packages thinking they would be the right fit as advertized. When I tried the first one it was very loose and fell off. I tried another one and another but they all would fall off. It was as if these were for a different product that was smaller. I had to double check to make sure they were the right replacement brushes and they were. My husband said well we can keep the brush from falling off if we look a rubber band around the brush and palm soap holder. Not exactly what I had in mind when I ordered this product. Considering I love the original one so much I may just use the rubber band :( On the bright side at the same time I ordered the Brillo pads and the brush the brillo pads fit perfect just like the original. needless to say I will be using the brillo pads before I have to resort to using the rubber bands to keep these in place.

The old brushes that did not have the replacement brushes were great. When I went to replace the brush, the new ones had replacement heads that fall off at the least circling scrub action. I resorted to double stick pads under the brush to hold it on. Come on OXO--get this one right.

Oxo changed the size of their palm-size brushes so these refills do not fit older brushes. (I purchased my brush around a year ago and it did not fit.)

Another reviewer pointed this out as well. It would be helpful if Oxo or Amazon clarified that there are two sizes for these brushes.

After I reviewed my much-loved palm brush for which I purchased these refills I decided it was time to use the last of the set of two I purchased last year. I recalled the difficulty I had installing the first refill, but since I did succeed I set about changing refill #1.

The worn refill removed easily but after repeated attempts to twist & snap the new one into position---even silicone grease failed---I was frustrated enough to wonder if I'd gotten something about the "Lefty loosey, righty tighty" mnemonic backwards. But I reinstalled and again removed the worn refill easily enough, so neither fit nor direction was the problem. And yes, I did see that little nub in the track but lacked the strength to force the head over it.

Not pleased, I searched for another brand of scrubber and found that each had their fans and detractors. It must have been the impressive Lifetime Limited Warranty that drove me to order the not-inexpensive long-handled red scrubber for which refills can't be found.

Btw, to keep from wasting an OXO refill and because another reviewer said the scrubber I chose doesn't fit into glasses, I used a tool to wear down the aforementioned nub and happily found that the head does stay securely attached.
