I clean houses for a living and have been looking for something that will help me quickly and effectively dust large areas. This is by far the best thing I have ever bought. I loved it so much that I went back the next day and purchased a refill for it. It's not only awesome at picking up dust (it does not just move it around as stated in another review), it is very comfortable to hold (which is a huge plus when you have carpal tunnel!) It is very flexible and and can fit in tight spaces in bookcases and between stair spindles, etc. It is wonderful at dusting the woodwork, walls, doors, you name it. When I was using it for a very dusty area , I did use just a little bit of Pledge, but most of the time I don't use anything on it. It is very easy to clean. Just throw it in the washer (Don't dry it or use any fabric softener), fluff it and snap it on and you are good to go.

When I think of a duster, I picture a feathery or poofy thing on the end of a stick that makes dust go mostly into the air. This duster is quite the opposite. I have been using it all over the house. One gentle sweep over any surface and it picks up (and retains) all of the dust. I even used it on the filter of a few portable air conditioners which usually require removal and washing to clean them off. And the duster is very simple to clean. There is a snap button where the microfiber meets the handle. Just unsnap it and wash the duster. I rinsed mine off in the sink, squeezed it, let it dry for 5-10 minutes, and dusted some more.

I consider the surface of my HDTV to be sacred. I want to put as little pressure and friction on the screen as possible. The frame of my HD set (surrounding the screen) is gloss black, which makes matters worse as the dust shows readily. I was absolutely thrilled with how well this products removes dust from my TV. This product is a "Must Have" product for serious HD enthusiasts. I keep mine in a gallon ziplock bag (only the handle exposed) to keep dust from collecting on the duster when it's stored.

I have been using this duster for over 6 months now and I really don't like it. It won't pick up the dust; it just spreads the dust around and leaves piles of dust on the edges and corners of everything. If you then try to dust the corner again, it will move all the dust to the other side of the corner. It's unbelievable. After dusting, if I run my finger along the egde of my dresser, it will be covered in a thick film of dust. Not only that but the white pad gets dirty quickly and turns black so you will have to wash it regularly. Do yourself a favor and look for something else.

Not sure if my cleaning lady was using it for a sword fight or to fend off an assassination attempt but I found this handle in two pieces at the bottom of my cleaning supplies bucket about a week after I purchased it. It did seem to work well the few times I actually had an chance to used it. The microfiber covers wash well and are easy to remove. I contacted Oxo and told them the product snapped in half and they gave me an address to send the handle to for a free replacement. I sent the broken pieces and just a few days later I received a huge box with an Oxo microfiber slim duster in it. (Which isn't the product I sent them for replacement but kudos on the fast response and good customer service.) I have ordered a second microfiber double duster from Amazon. I am no longer using that cleaning lady (not because of the broken duster) and don't plan on any unexpected ambushes by ninja warriors so I have high hopes for this second time around with the double duster.

I put this OXO duster on my wish thinking it would cost me less than always buying Swiffer Dusters. I received it as a gift and sadly it does not work nearly as good as a Swiffer Duster. For one thing, it is firmer than the Swiffer so does not dust in tight places as easily nor around delicate or odd shapes as easily. It does work and is good for large flat surfaces, but the Swiffer is the best product I have found for dusting. Swiffer Dusters Starter Pack. 1 handle, 20 disposable dusters.

This duster is great. It has microfiber cloth on one side and the other side is all fluffly with microfiber fibers. It works better than the Swiffer dusters and the best thing is that it is reusable no waste like with the Swiffer. You can just wash and hang dry these duster covers. I've been trying to do my best to reduce/reuse/recycle and finding products like this is nice.

I bought three of these so that I can use them in the house, car and office. These are well made, sturdy handle with good grip, and the duster picks up the dust like it should. It is best for fast cleaning of broad surfaces. An order of magnitude better than the Swifter version.

The Oxo good grips duster picks up dust while barely touching the surface--it gets in all those tight places. We have the perfect storm of pine pollen this year and we still leave the windows open if its nice weather because this duster just collects the pollen like crazy. After it has collected a lot of pollen I take it outside and beat it against a metal table to get the pollen out, but you don't have to do this with ordinary dust, although you can. After the white removeble top is dirty, you can wash it in the washing machine (but I line dry mine). You can get refill pads for the black handle--the product is easy to put together with one snap, and it stays snapped. This is so much easier to use than a cloth with dusting spray or furniture polish, and you can dust all your little knick-knacks easily. This duster changed my life by making dusting easy and even fun.

This duster I got and found it really helpful in getting into tight spaces in my TV console and book cases. I also like that I did not have to by disposable swiffer pads anymore. In my experience it picked up dust well. I would then wash it after cleaning. I would recommend anyone to try it especially if they have allergies like me!
