Not recommended,

I owned this brush briefly, but threw it out because the bristles got all bunched up and smashed. I prefer a brush with stiffer bristles.

Bristles get bunched up,
A Kid's Review

I've owned this brush for two years. I was looking for a vegetable brush to mainly clean off carrots. Now the good part about this is the middle portion of the brush has a hole in it. The carrot fits right inside and brushes off the dirt. The bad part is that the bristles get twisted & bunched up. They sometimes break off but it is not often. If it were not for the bristles this would be a terrific brush.

I bought this brush as well as the Oxo Good Grips Soft Grip vegetable brush Vegetable Brush - Soft Grip I like the latter much better. This natural bristles are just too "soft" for my taste. I suppose this brush might be better for cleaning softer items, like mushrooms. But I find I usually grab the other one...

This is the only brush I will use for my produce. I understand the bristles bunch a little after a while, but just make sure to rinse it well in hot water and dish detergent and let air dry. I have never put it in the dishwasher as I'm afraid it would rust the metal holding the bristles.
It really gets all the dirt and unwanted stuff off all my fruits and vegetables. I have a nephew who didn't tell me he is allergic to apples and peaches and ate them (skin on) at my house for a snack. He told me after the fact that he was amazed he didn't have a reaction after eating them. I believe the brush removed the surface pesticides which is probably what he really is allergic to.

I ordered this for my mother who's brush of 20+ years was nearing the end of its life. She is very pleased with it and the bristles were not weak as some had hinted in reviews. Overall very pleased.

I am not a gardener, orchardist, avid fresh veggie preparer, or a brush tester. I mostly wanted to try the Veggie Brush as an alternative to my coarser brush for gently cleaning the 'hard to reach" areas of fruit and vegetables, and it has also exceeded my expectations as a potatoe scrubber.
If it isn't abused, it will serve well for many months. If it is used every day or with excessive vigor, a preparer may want to keep some extras on hand, because I believe the brush may not hold up well with heavy usage, but that it is still an excellent brush, because of the great cleaning results that can be quickly obtained.

Okay, but nothing special.,
This review is from: OXO Good Grips Natural Bristle Veggie Brush (Kitchen)
I have other veggie brushes that I like better. I wanted to replace a brush that had a cracked wooden handle and I like Good Grips products, but not this brush. I put it in the dishwasher and it got food particles stuck in it during the wash cycle and it ended up very soggy after the dry cycle. It took overnight to air dry. It's not that good at scrubbing either. I think synthetic bristles do a better scrubbing job.

This is my all-time favorite find. I already have a good veggie brush, so bought this one in the hope of finally having a good multi-purpose brush. It gets into the corners of the sink for a good scrub, cleans off stuck food from the bottom of pots, and removes food stuck to the bottom of the frying pan.
It is a good all-'round flexible brush.

Brush arrived in damaged condition. Contacted supplier who responded with vague comment, but did not send replacement or suggest method for doing so. Very unsatisfactory outcome, and calls into question Amazon's quality control of suppliers. Sincerely, Cal Brown.
