5.0 out of 5 stars Is it possible to love a bowl?
I just can't say enough good things about these bowls. I bought a set of them to replace some plastic ones that broke, and I'm just delighted.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great bowls, but IMPOSSIBLE to remove label
Great bowls, but after picking, peeling, scrubbing and soaking, there are still remnants of the label on the inside of the bowl.

I've heard that they have discontinued the small bowl from the set, so if you find one of those and want it you should get it while you can.

This is one of the best purchases I have made. I am confident enough to use it with my powerful hand mixer and it does not slip or slide! It is great if chilled for whipping cream or egg whites! Also makes a nice serving piece at picnics or potlucks! Goes straight into the dishwasher or wipes clean easily. Just get it before it is discontinued!

These bowls are great (I ordered all of the sizes). No more tea towels under my mixing bowls to keep them from sliding from one end of the counter to the other. These bowls are quite heavy (compared to my previous stainless bowls from Wms Sonoma) and the nonskid exterior really keeps these puppies from sliding (and scratching!). I like stainless as it does not hold odors or stain like plastic. Great to use chilled for whipping cream or egg whites. These are my new favorite bowls!!

I bought this bowl from Bed Bath and Beyond.. They are 24.99 there and with the 20% off coupons they always have around, it was $20.. I really like the size, weight and grip on the bowl..
I was also watching the show "Chopped" on Food Network and the competing Chefs were using this exact bowl.. i smile everytime i see this bowl because it will be a useful and durable piece in my culinary collection..

I also have the 3 quart bowl and waiting on the shipment to arrive at BBB for the smaller bowl..

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Mixing Bowl, August 18, 2011

This bowl is pretty much my idea of a perfect "general, sturdy mixing bowl." The outer surface of the bowl grips every surface in my kitchen -- allowing for 'vigorous mixing' without worrying about the bowl flying across the room. This mixing bowl is also very rigid, and seems generally very sturdy. It looks great too. I've had a couple of these for around 2 years, and they look as good as new. They seem to do well in the dishwasher.

5.0 out of 5 stars My absolute favorite mixing bowl, December 5, 2010
This review is from: OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl, 5-Quart (Kitchen)
I must have over 30 mixing bowls because when I bake I like to set the ingredients out in different size bowls. I also like to have different size bowls for different tasks.

This is my absolute favorite bowl for four reasons. First, it's heavier than the regular stainless steel bowls which means it's sturdy. Second, it doesn't move around on the counter. Third, it's large enough for mixing a double batch of some batter. Fourth, it appears virtually indestructible and won't break or chip like some ceramic bowls I have.

I noticed others had problems removing the stickers. My bowl had only two stickers on the rubber and not on the inside like some of the others have mentioned. I used a razor blade to remove the price and bottom stickers flawlessly by VERY CAREFULLY working the razor under the sticker so as not to nick the rubber. If I didn't do this, I would have never gotten the goo off the bowl.

This is a wonderful bowl and if you have a Home Goods by you, you might find it there for sale. I just purchased mine for two-thirds less and with only two tiny stickers on the outside (the price and a stamped-size sticker on the bottom). They also have the other two sizes. I decided to purchase two of this size (5QT) for me (which will get the most use) and one 3QT bowl. If you do purchase two of the same size bowls, they stack pretty well but the rubber on the outside makes it VERY difficult to pull the bowls apart because they stick together. You won't have this problem if you only have one of each size bowl but 2 5QTs together make for a tight fit and are a battle to separate.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best bowl ever!, November 9, 2010
This review is from: OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl, 5-Quart (Kitchen)
I've had this bowl for years and I absolutely love it!
It's very heavy duty stainless which is becoming difficult to find.
Not only does it not move on the counter it also keeps food hot and cold.
I use it on the table to serve pasta and it keeps the pasta very warm during the entire meal.
It also looks very modern and cool.
I'll be getting the entire set.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great OXO bowl, March 15, 2010

I agree with the reviewers that had problems with the sticker. However, i just soaked the bowl in soapy water and scrubbed it off. Patience is still a virtue I guess. It really doesn't slip on the counter and is dishwasher safe. I use this as a fruit bowl in my kitchen and it serves its purpose well.

I've had glass, ceramic, and stainless steel mixing bowls. These are by far my favorite. No skid. Lightweight yet very substantial. Great finish. Great to mix in. Worth the price.
