I consider this type of basket a must-have for parents of babies and toddlers unless they want to do a lot of hand-washing. Not just bottle parts but also pacis, utensils, sippy cup parts, pump parts and even small toys make it worthwhile. Most are supposed to be in the top rack of the dishwasher only, and this is the best way to keep all those little things up there.

The OXO basket seems to be well-designed and well-made. That said, which basket works best for you is largely a matter of your dishwasher and exactly what you are washing. The fact that the nipple compartment built into the lid opens down the middle does help stabilize the basket and make loading easier - but makes it hard to open if you load it with little utensils that get turned sideways. I find it perfect for pump parts, but largish bottle nipples don't fit in it at all. The straw holders (slots for 8) are inside the basket but fold well out of the way when they aren't in use.

I find this to be roughly equivalent to the Munchkin Deluxe Dishwasher Basket Colors May Vary, which I also own. The OXO version is more expensive, but also about 1/3 longer, so probably worth it if you need that space. Munchkin's lid compartment has the same issue with being too small for bottle nipples that are on the large side. In the end I might favor the OXO basket slightly, but find them very comparable in value.

We bought this as our 2nd dishwasher basket, and I must say its better than the first. Like most probably did, we bought the Munchkin Deluxe Dishwasher Basket, Assorted. The Munchkin is highly rated, but not that great. The main issues is the inconvenience of having the top shelf items always fall out when I need to add something new.

The OXO item, has a pretty red top, but more importantly you can open and close it with out the nipples falling out. It does a good job of holding standard nipples for 4-5 oz bottles. (Haven't tried nipples for 8-9 0z bottles).

Plus the OXO is much bigger, (longer mostly). If I had it to do over again, I would only go with the OXO, because of its top, although the bigger size is a bonus too.

Now my chopsticks won't slip through the gaps in the dishwasher basket. No kids any more, but this is great for small things.

If only I had known how much easier my life could have been...

This basket is simply awesome. From the day you bring your baby home, this is a useful item. I almost literally smacked my forehead when I saw the cleverly-designed nipple holders on the top of the basket. "Why? Why hadn't someone told us about this two years ago?"

But even with a two year-old, this is an absolutely brilliant item to have. The rubber nubs inside the top of your sippy-cups? Totally safe. Hard plastic straws? Holders along the sides. If you're concerned about exposing your baby to detergent and dishwasher has a "sanitize" setting, you can toss your gear in the basket, run the cycle without detergent, and be reasonably sure that you're not going to wind up with a plastic mess from parts bouncing around your dishwasher, or coming too close to the heating element.

The basket openings are small enough to keep any common baby item safe, but large enough to let everything get clean. And like many other OXO products, the overall construction quality is great. Not to mention the basket is BPA-free.

This OXO Tot Dishwasher Basket is a marvelous gizmo. Sturdy as can be, with a top that opens up from the middle to each side on easy-to-open-and-close hinges. It is BPA and PVC free, as well as free from those dreaded Phthalates. You want to protect your baby from those damaging chemicals for as long as you can. I'm sure this product is perfect for what it was made to do: Keep your baby's things like pacifiers, sippy cup parts, and so much more, in one safe place while they are in the dishwasher.

However! I saw this product and I had an IDEA. I needed some kind of rack thingy for my utensils to dry in/on in my dish drainer. I hate the cup that comes with dish drainers. It keeps the utensils too close to each other, gets horribly yucky at the bottom very quickly, and is impossible to clean. I have been using a nice metal basket, but it hasn't taken long for it to show slight signs of rusting.

Enter OXO Tot Dishwasher Basket. Yes, it would be a little large if I had a lot of plates and cups, but I don't, so it fits my dish drainer perfectly, keeps my utensils separate, and the wider slots at each end are great for things like kitchen shears. It's easy to wash, and I love the color. White on the bottom, and the brightest deep orange on top. Thank you OXO for solving my yucky utensil cup problem. I imagine this basket could have 101 uses; for artist paint brushes, tools, and who know what else. It will give you IDEAS.

Great quality. Very handy for washing small items besides baby products. I can fit chopsticks into the basket! Once the chopsticks are loaded, just keep your hands on the two ends of the basket when you are loading it into the dishwasher to prevent any chopsticks from falling out. Once the basket is in the dishwasher, the chopsticks do not fall out. The only improvement for this product would be to have smaller holes on the ends to prevent chopsticks and stirrers from falling out.

This basket is excellent, I love it, the way it opens is just smart making it more accesible and easier to stuff nipples on the top and It does hold wide neck bottle's nipples I've tryed with two kinds already, somebody else compared this basket with the munchkin one (I like it too), wich I own too and is not the same thing, The OXO is bigger wich I like and more accesible, so between this one and the munchkin, I prefer the OXO, It feels sturdy too and the color is really nice.

This basket is a little bit longer than the munchkin basket that seems to be the "go to" tot dishwasher basket. It holds more and has a lot more features that I love!

The sippy cup straw holder is perfection! It holds the straws upright and on the sides to allow the water to run through them and get them really clean. There is no danger of them making an escape in the bottom of the dishwasher as they are securely held in place.

The white portion of the basket below is great for larger plastic parts to sippy cups, silverware, lids etc. It even will hold a good amount of the Dr. Browns bottle inserts that don't fit in all dishwasher baskets.

The orange section above is perfect for bottle nipples and rubber sippy cup parts. It can also hold little spoons and the like.

The basket fits well in my dishwasher without taking up a ton of space. It is easy to place in and remove from the dishwasher. I have used it on the top and bottom racks with no meting or warping. The plastic is durable and should hold up for as long as I need the basket.

This basket is great if you have small items that may otherwise get lost in the dishwasher. Since it is about the same length as a normal sheet of paper, it allows more room for various items than other competitors. I like that it feels sturdy, and the many openings allow plenty of space for a thorough cleaning for the items inside.

I purchased this 9 months ago when we were in the throws of bottles. It has been permenetly placed in my dishwasher since then. We use this for everything. Now we have moved on to sippy cups. The top of the basket is secure and fit lots of nipples when we were using bottles. We use Tommee Tipped for everything. All of membranes from the sippys and straws fit great. When we were using bottle we could fit about 6 nipples. You can also put silverware in the basket. This is well made. Do not waste your money buying a cheap basket.
