great stuff burns slowly
We burn it in a small insert that was meant to burn coal. Since we are a net-zero home, of course we are not going to use coal. Biofuel is the perfect solution. Gives off lots of heat, needs no vent and in fact add humidity to the room. Better than cans of gel because the fuel left on the lid is wasted and it makes the room smell like alcohol. Costly
This looks great, but most of a quart burns in under 2 hours. NOT cost effective, and we aren't using it for heat, just looks.

We burn it in a small insert that was meant to burn coal. Since we are a net-zero home, of course we are not going to use coal. Biofuel is the perfect solution. Gives off lots of heat, needs no vent and in fact add humidity to the room. Better than cans of gel because the fuel left on the lid is wasted and it makes the room smell like alcohol. The liquid burns at the same speed as gel (I tested it out) and is less messy to deal with. I use the old cans that the gel came in.
