The cooler in itself if pretty good. Easy assembly, appealing to the eye and it maintains temperature pretty good. The problem I have with it is that it leaks through the drain valve. Even though it has a rubber seal in the drain plug, it seems to leak through the threads. Nothing that a little Teflon can't fix but if you don't do something about it, you'll have people slipping and sliding in the puddle it makes on the floor.

First attempt on this product was a total piece of crap. I want the hour of my life back that I spent trying to assemble this and trying to repack it when I realized assembly couldn't be done. The first step was to screw the 4 legs to the cooler. I should of stopped there when I was having a hard time getting the screws to go into the holes. I got all but one of the screws to go in so decided to continue. The next step was to screw the 4 wheels into the legs. I had a hard time with each of them but got them to screw in until I got to the last one. The threads in the legs would not take the screw on the wheel. After screwing around with this for like 40 minutes I was ready to punch a hole in the wall. I gave up and disassembled the whole thing and struggled to put it back in the box and asked for a refund.

Even beyond the assembly problems I wasn't really impressed with the quality of the product either. For $200 I expected something much better. In the picture it looked like this was stainless steel and it was just silver.

Update: They seller sent me a replacement item. The second one went was assembled perfectly and all screws properly fit into the holes. I haven't used the item yet but all of my assembly problems have been resolved.

Just used this last night for the first time and the drain leaks...just a non stop drip the entire time. Very frustrating to have a giant puddle on the patio all day and night, especially from a brand new cooler...plus it's letting out the cold water and thus not keeping things as cool as it should.

I will have to figure out how to fix it, which I assume I can, but for 200 bucks it should not be happening. It's brand new. I could have bought numerous other standing roller coolers for this amount or less and I wouldn't have this problem.

Also it's definitely not silver or stainless steel looking. It's a gray. Maybe this is my bad and I had inaccurate expectations. Overall it's not as high quality as I expected.

I didn't have assembly issues like others mentioned.

There was a decent dent in a corner of the cooler, though, when we got it. However with something so big I didn't feel like dealing with returning or exchanging, especially via shipping, so I just kept it. Annoying though. I'm surprised they sent it out. It was most definitely imperfect.

I would NOT recommend this product. Go to BJ's or Cosco and buy one there. It will be the same price or less and won't leak or have dents.

Do not buy this cooler or any from Oakland Outdoor Living.

They show you a pretty picture and it is not anytyhing like what you will receive and they are expensive. Then you ask for some help and the customer service department does not care about you or their products...they do not stand behind them and have very little interest in solving your issues at all. I was even scolded for mis-using the cooler even though we used it twice and the drainage spout became so rusty. He said prolonged water will do this...over a few hours...this is a cooler that is supposed to be filled with ice and water...really????

Waste of money and time!!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS COOLER!!!!

Looks good initially, BUT.. The drain mechanism is completely rusted out on the inside after use for just one season. Oakland Living wants $65 for a replacement mechanism! Original order was bait and switch for color -- ended up getting a damaged "metalic silver" which was more like just plain gray. They grudging(eventually and after many e-mails and phone calls) replaced the damaged cooler box, but now I have this digusting completely rusted out drain that I would never permit to come in contact with the cooler's food contents. So now we have an open continuous draining hole in the side of the cooler that we plug with a cork until we are ready to drain.

Obviously, for the price you would hope this is a good cooler... and it is for the most part. It was packed well, and arrived in good shape. I'm good at putting items together, so the assembly was easy - just take your time and organize all the parts and screws before hand. It's not stainless, silver or chrome, but more of a gray color. I had guessed that from the photo, but was wishing I might get lucky and it would be stainless. Although, if you're looking for a fun cooler on your patio and have extra cash, you should be happy.

--NOTE: The rest of this review is for someone looking to customize this cooler--
I installed this cooler in my RV and it seemed to be the best cooler on Amazon for this purpose under $500. Instead of installing the wheels, I just screwed in 1/2 inch bolts to secure the legs. Then I screwed on the bottle cap tray so it wouldn't fall off during driving. The best part of the cooler is the drain, which is ideal if you have it bolted to the floor of a trailer or RV. Unfortunately, the threads on this drain plug are NOT universal and standard plumbing parts will not fit. I was able to slip a hose over the drain extender (with a hose clamp) and then connect that to PVC parts. I added a valve, and piped it through the floor of the RV. So to drain the cooler, I simply open the valve and my RV takes a piss... so to speak. This works well to keep drinks ICE cold without filling up the RV fridge. You can screw one side of the lid to the cooler so it doesn't shake off if you drive on bumpy roads. I know, it's a strange idea - but I bet someone reading this is as crazy as me and might try it.
