There are a couple brands of this item, but this is the exact one I used, bought at a local Menards store. Between my 17 year old son and I, we had one completely clogged sink running clear in 15 minutes and one slow bathroom sink running and clean in another 5 or so.

The instructions say you must be 6 inches into the drain, but that wasn't possible-- and it worked anyway. We got the entire bladder into the drain, and it worked just fine. Trick is to turn the hose on full blast right away (some reviewers say slowly but that didn't expand the rubber bladder at all, and on examination, was completely counter-intuitive.) We also used a garden hose and just ran it through the windows. One story house makes this easier.

I paid less than 10 bucks for this and saved myself a ton of money AND it's not even messy or disgusting like snaking out a drain.
